Hi there! My name is Mikaela, I love being outdoors, specifically tramping and biking, and am passionate about learning more about different farming practices and expanding my skill set especially in building and construction as I hope to have my own self sustaining organic farm one day. I love meeting new people and forming community wherever I go.

I graduated from the University of Vermont with a bachelor’s in environmental studies concentrating on sustainability. I have lived on a small farm my whole life, so I am very handy with various gardening skills, lawn maintenance, and taking care of animals. The past three months I have spent traveling, working on a vegetable farm in Hawaii for a couple months and at the Te Anau Lodge housekeeping for another.

I’m big into sports and honestly just any kind of game- I love playing ultimate frisbee especially but also play basketball, volleyball, etc. I love playing card games as well!
