Beschreibung

Hello, we are Michel (19) and Anna (22) from Germany. We are siblings and grew up on the countryside in the north of Germany. Since we were young, we loved to spend time with our family in nature, at the beach, in the forest and, since 8 years, in our garden. We love watersports, cicling and hiking and exploring new places. Since we grew up in a rural area, we have some experiences with the work with animals, gardening, and some DIY projects (like building new veg beds, seeding plants and taking care of the garden) - and of course snack delicious fruits :). We are enthusiastic to help, learn new things and gain new experiences while getting to know new people. We also both love music.
We are interested to learn about ecofarming and how other people and families live their daily routine and how they work. It is interesting for us to get to know new areas and new countries. We like the mixture of helping, learning and having time to explore the country. We have been to South Africa for a swimming coach project for kids, and the Dominican Republic for a coral reef protection project. For all these projects, we lived with host families and enjoyed the time we spend in their homes. With WWOOF, we spend 4 weeks during the last summer in different projects for eco-gardening, building and animal care projects in England.
With Workaway, we hope to have the chance to continue working and living with new host families. We also would like to improve our English skills (Michel is preparing for his studies where the main language is English and Anna is studying English for being a teacher).

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Due to our experiences from WWOOF-stays, volunteer programms and our personal life, we have basic skills in gardening, DIY, building projects, painting, taking care of animals, cleaning and cooking (we love baking and trying new recipes), as well as general maintainances around the house and the garden. We grew up in a big family, so we are family-oriented people and have a lot of experiences with taking care of kids. Anna is studying for being a teacher (Theatre Education and English), so she loves to teach and gain new knowledge. She was a dancing instructor. Michel is preparing for studying aerospace engineering and is very interested to learn in the fields of sciences. We both love music and play various instruments. Besides that, we are very active and love water sports like swimming, sailing, surfing, and diving (we both were swimming instructors and are lifeguards). We enjoy hikes and bike tours, some relaxed time with a good book or a board game (we know too many and love to teach people about our family game rules^^).
