I enjoy almost every outdoor sport (backpacking, mountain biking, climbing, and canoeing are some of my favorites!). I also play the ukulele and a little guitar, and love to sing.

Hello! My name is Melanie, a US citizen. I've lived all over the US (California, Florida, Washington DC, and now Utah), and I've lived abroad for smaller stretches in New Zealand and the UK.

I travelled using Workaway in my early 20s and now I'm back (in my early 30s)! I love this platform as a way to travel and truly experience a place and the people in it. I look forward to being able to give back to the community I'm travelling to.

I've worked many different types of jobs and I hope to support you in any way I can.

In my professional career I've worked as:

NOW I am going back to school to get my MBA with hopes of learning more about business operations and marketing. I hope to apply these skills to my passion for building authentic communities with a focus on mental and physical well-being. During this time of learning and growth, I am seeking out opportunities to travel and contribute to like-minded communities. My school is online and part-time, so I am happy to work between 20-30 hours/ week at your Workaway depending on your needs.
