Hi yall. My name is Megan and I’m a 39 year old woman from East Tennessee in the United States. I have four kids and one granddaughter. My youngest son is going off to college this month. I was a very young mother, so at this point I finally have freedom of opportunity to do something amazing. I love animals of all kinds, I'm good with people and kids and I am interested in learning.

I had worked for the post office for almost ten years before I resigned. The life and lifestyle I’ve been living is not right for me. I’m currently trying to find my way back to happiness and find my passion in life after working a soul crushing government job for so long.

I want to get healthy again and feel better physically and mentally. I want to paint again and learn and experience new things. I want a life that I’m happy to live. I want to meet interesting people and learn new skills. I want to learn to play the banjo. I have a banjo, banjolele, and a ukulele, but I had surgery on both of my hands right after I got them and have never been able to pick it up and learn how to play. For now, I just like the way they sound and strumming them brings peace to my mind.

I am out of shape (for now) , but physically strong. I am a hard worker and willing to learn new things. I’m happy to do manual labor, yard work, mucking stalls, looking after animals, cleaning, etc… I have customer service experience as well. I have always said that I'd rather lay my head down at night being physically exhausted, rather than mentally drained.

I was born in East Tennessee- right outside Knoxville, but spent my formative teenage years in the PNW - in Bellingham, Wa, near Canada before moving home again. I’m so grateful for that time to see so many different people with different beliefs, different religions, different lifestyles, etc… I would LOVE to be able to spend some more time on the west coast. What I’m trying to say is that I’m a very open person. No judgement from me and would hope for the same in return.

I’m looking for opportunities with open minded people, who would be willing to teach me things, share unique experiences and take a chance on me. I’m honest, I don’t do drugs, I don’t steal, I believe in doing the right thing and being kind to other people. I follow instructions well, appreciate constructive criticism to help me improve and I have a desire to make a difference.
I have a homebase in Tennessee, but ideally would want to stay somewhere for a month or two minimum, with the opportunity to stay longer if it was the right fit. I have a vehicle of my own, so driving is a possibility.

I can be quite shy at first, but I’m so excited about the possibility of a new adventure. I'm an open book, willing to answer questions about myself and learn about you. I don't have any pets (sadly), but have grown up around and helped care for dogs, cats, lizards and I've even rehabbed a couple of opossums. Here are a few random facts about me:

I love writing and painting for fun
I feel most alive and at peace near a creek or stream or water.
My favorite band is Pink Floyd
I'm not political, but lean pretty far left, I'm becoming more liberal as I grow older.
I'm not religious, but I am very curious about spirituality and learning about other religions.
I believe everyone is equal and everyone deserves love and respect and kindness.
I have the belief that if you want your life to change, you HAVE to make a change- I'm looking to make a drastic change.

I speak English, but would love to hear and learn different languages.
I have customer service skills. I have a strong back and like to do physical labor. I can do yard work, I can clean, I can paint, I can take care of animals. I’ve spent most of my life being a mother and working jobs in survival mode- I don’t have a lot of skills I’m proficient in, but I’m willing to learn and try my hardest at anything thrown my way

I need a new outlook on life. I need to experience things and make memories that make me smile. I want freedom, happiness, peace, to learn, to love, to take pride in my life and myself, and try to live a life that gets me excited to wake up everyday. I'm tired of only existing - I want to LIVE!
