Hi everyone I'm Mazzy!

I'm currently taking a break from the 9 to 5 to explore Mexico & enjoy all the delicious food!

I've always loved to travel, try different cuisines and meet people from other cultures. In 2019 I left my job & sold most of my stuff to travel the world. It really was the best decision I ever made & since then I've loved the adventure of travelling solo!

I love the experience that workaway offers, to learn something new & see the world through a different perspective.

During my travels I've been lucky enough to have had some amazing workaway opportunities. I really enjoy the mix of community life and meeting people from all over the world; and I believe we can all learn something from each other. (I think I actually learnt how to fold sheets & make a bed whilst doing a workaway, never too old to learn something new!)

I'm drawn to natural, open environments and I love to be around nature & the ocean. I've been part of volunteer schemes for animal/conservation projects while travelling and have found this a very rewarding way of giving something back to the environment and local communities.

My skills are in customer services &
making people feel at home, project mgt, administratiin, writing marketing content and being organised. I'm also fully TEFL trained to teach English. Back home in the UK I volunteer for an organisation that helps refugees improve their English & feel part of their community. This has been a wonderful experience & I've made many new friendships.

I'm looking forward to my next workaway adventure!

Was noch ...

When I'm at home I love to cook and be with my animals (a Bengal cat and Staffy/Pit cross, both turbo charged!). I'm passionate about health and fitness, and feel my best when I'm eating tasty natural foods and moving my body. I cook my own meals & enjoy learning new recipes. I do have an insane sweet tooth though which always catches me out!

I love to keep fit and active, and wherever I travel I try to join local classes, such as yoga and pilates, which is also a great way of meeting people

I love animals! In my spare time at home I regularly help out at a local cat shelter and at the RSPCA walking dogs at the weekend and lending a hand with admin. I'm also a member of a group that fundraises for a local Alzheimer's charity.
