My name is Maya Hennessy and I am excited to join workaway to meet new people and explore different areas of the world. I love everything to do with the outdoors and currently work in the outdoor education industry taking young people on multi-day canoeing and hiking trips. I love spending time outdoors working on farms, going for bike rides, hiking, swimming and canoeing. I am interested in exploring the world via volunteering at different sustainable farms and communes where i can learn new skills and explore different areas of the country. I am open to all different volunteer opportunities that come my way and can't wait to get involved and meet new people this year.

I have volunteered at a number of farms and have experience in the skills listed below. I have lots of Outdoor experience taking young people hiking and canoeing and in turn have lots of first aid skills and qualification. I have worked as a lifeguard for a number of years now and also have lots of hospitality experience, working both in bars and restaurants. I love looking after pets and have been doing so ever since i was little. I have lots of pet and house sitting experience as well as doing occasional baby sitting.

Was noch ...

I love music and have been playing the drums for years. I have recently started learning to play the ukulele and wish to learn the harmonica too. I love playing board games with the family, especially cards games like dutch blitz and bohanzas. I love to read books, specially fantasy or mystery novels, but open to everything that captures my attention. I also enjoying making sourdough bread and would love to make some for those i volunteer for. I also like making jams, pickles and other preserves.
