Hello everyone! My name is Marc, I’m 23, and I live about 20 km from Paris. Until a few months ago, I was working as a real estate agent. I really enjoyed it, but for me it lacked genuine human connection. Now, I work alongside a market gardener selling produce at local markets. Vegetables are definitely easier to sell than houses ! I really enjoy building relationships with customers, and I get a lot of satisfaction from those interactions.

That said, I don’t plan on doing this for the rest of my life. The world is so vast, and I feel the need to discover how people live elsewhere. My parents traveled extensively when they were younger, especially in Africa (Madagascar and Senegal), and they passed on their love of discovery to me. I’ve visited several Western countries (Portugal, Greece, United States), but I’ve rarely traveled beyond that. Asia and Africa particularly appeal to me.

Wherever I go, I hope to contribute and help as much as I can, and also learning as much as possible about the local culture — especially the language, the landscapes, and above all, the people. If you are interested, I’d be happy to chat. And I’m ready to leave on July 5th !

My father used to tell me, ‘Human can learn anything.’” I enjoy learning new skills, whether it’s botany, or practical hands-on work. But above all, what matters most to me is human connection. In my opinion, interpersonal skills are the most important skills of all.

I’m always willing to help when needed, whether it’s hold heavy loads, looking after children, or helping with cleaning and household tasks. And by the way, I also really enjoy cooking.

Was noch ...

I really enjoy basketball, thanks to my brother who taught me the rules, even though I’m not very good at it. I also practice French boxing. I also like going for walks, whether in the forest or in the city, simply observing the scenery. And when I’m alone, I love reading and playing chess.
