Hello, my name is Maite and I am delighted to be part of the Workaway community.
I'm 23 years old and I'm originally from a small town in the north of Spain.
I have a degree in Environmental Biology and I like to learn about all kinds of topics related to the environment and global change. Besides, I practice athletics since I was a child and I like mountain sports (trekking, climbing etc.). Moreover, I love to spend time in nature writting something in a notebook :)
I LOVE TO TASTE NEW FOOD!

ES: ¡Hola! Me llamo Maite y estoy encantada de formar parte de la comunidad Workaway.
Tengo 23 años y soy originaria de una pequeña localidad situada en el norte de España.
Soy graduada en Biología Ambiental y me gusta aprender sobre todo tipo de temáticas relacionadas con el medio ambiente y cambio global. Además, práctico atletismo desde que era niña y me gustan los deportes de montaña (trekking, escalada etc.). En mi tiempo libre disfruto de la naturaleza y tengo como hobby la escritura :)

ES: Los estudios en Biología Ambiental me han permitido adquirir conocimientos relacionados con la dinámica de la tierra y su interacción con los sistemas biológicos, evaluando el impacto que el humano ejerce sobre el medio natural, desde una perspectiva de conservación. Tengo formación como interprete y educadora ambiental, y es a traves de la educación como me gustaría transmitir la importancia de salvaguardar los recursos naturales y la importancia de proteger la tierra. Me gusta trabajar en el campo; en huertos y con animales, y no tengo ningún problema en mancharme las manos para hacer trabajos de construcción o mantenimiento :)

EN: My studies in Environmental Biology have allowed me to acquire knowledge related to the dynamics of the earth and its interaction with biological systems, evaluating the impact that humans exert on the natural environment, from a conservation perspective. I am trained as an environmental interpreter and educator, and it is through education that I would like to convey the importance of safeguarding natural resources and the importance of protecting the earth. I enjoy working in the countryside; in gardens and with animals, and I have no problem getting my hands dirty to do construction or maintenance work :)
