Hello! My name is Maira, I'm 24 years old and I'm from Italy.
I'm in New Zealand with a working holiday visa and right now I'm working in a hostel in Kaikoura


I can speak fluently Italian, English and Portuguese. I have an intermediate level of Spanish but I’m currently studying it and looking forward to improve.
I have a basic level of German.
I was born in Brazil and I moved to Italy when I was 6, I grew up in a small town near Venice, close to the border with Slovenia and Austria. After finishing school I’ve decided to move abroad, as I love kids, the Au pair program was the best option for me.
During this year I’ve improved my English and experienced a new culture living with a local family, and it has made me grow a lot as a person.
After that I moved to Scotland (where I currently am) to work in a hostel, I really like the experience that's why I kept extending, and now it's been one year working here.
Can’t wait to travel again!!

I’m a hardworking creative person, I’m really easy going and I like to get to know people from all over the world.
I have experience with Kids, I used to be an Au Pair in England, working with kids can be really stressful sometimes and I consider myself as a really patient person.
In summer 2019 I’ve worked in a hotel doing a huge variety of things such as: waitress, cleaning, general maintenance, socialising with guests, taking care of the kids and helping with the garden.
I’ve also been a volunteer for a month in a local food bank preparing the meals that were gonna be donated.
I'm currently working as a Duty manager in a tourist Hostel in Inverness, Scotland. Where I responsible for overseeing daily operations, check in and out guests, housekeeping, reply to the phone and emails.
