Hello 😊

We are Anaïs and Maëvann, a French couple who have been together for over four years now.

We are arriving in Australia, in Brisbane, in May 2026 for a one-year Working Holiday Visa. Our goal is to have an enriching experience, discover Australian culture, and continue improving our English on a daily basis.

We are passionate about traveling, discovering new environments, and meeting people. We especially enjoy being close to nature, sharing simple and authentic moments, and immersing ourselves in the local way of life.

We really enjoy outdoor activities, animals, and everything related to nature. We would like to take advantage of our stay to explore Brisbane and its surroundings while fully committing to a local experience.

We are comfortable with manual work and enjoy learning new skills. Even though we do not have specific training in this field, we are motivated, reliable, and always committed to what we do. We place great importance on doing a good job, with a positive attitude and a smile. 
We are used to taking care of animals and enjoy looking after outdoor areas and gardens.
Anaïs grew up in the countryside in the southwest of France, surrounded by animals and nature. She is therefore very comfortable with animals, gardening, and outdoor maintenance. She currently works in the tourism sector, which has helped her develop excellent interpersonal skills, a sense of hospitality, and adaptability.
Maëvann grew up in Marseille. He is also used to animals. He enjoys manual work and DIY. He currently works in sales, which has allowed him to develop strong interpersonal skills, teamwork, and a sense of service. Having grown up in a family environment related to construction, he is also used to physical work and helping with various projects.
We can also help you with website/blog creation, marketing, online content creation, and finding clients for your projects.

In recent months, we have participated in the renovation of Anaïs’s mother’s house in a rural area.
 We are motivated to learn, get involved, and help you with your projects, whatever they may be. We are very flexible and adapt easily.

We are looking for a stay of around two weeks to one month, with the possibility of staying longer if the experience is enriching for everyone.
Our goal is to fully integrate, adapt easily to your environment, and contribute in a serious and enthusiastic way to your daily life.

We both know how to handle the basics of running a household and family life, including cooking and cleaning. We have good experience in service-related jobs, such as restaurants and events, including weddings and seminars. We do not have any specific skills to highlight, but we are very motivated and ready to adapt. We enjoy working with animals, doing DIY projects and helping to improve ongoing projects. We love outdoor activities, being close to nature, and we are ready to learn many new things. We are open to all kinds of projects and always eager to learn, as we are naturally very curious and like things to be well done.

Vom Workawayer () für Host (Join our family and share our ...)

The experience of our dreams with Linda and Ken!🤩

We arrived at their home without knowing how long we’d be staying, and we ended up spending over three and a half months with them. It was, without a doubt, the best woofing experience of our lives.

We’ve grown so attached to them that we consider them much more than just hosts

From day one, … read more they made us feel right at home: they included us in their outings, weekend workouts if we fancied it, introduced us to their friends and family, and shared countless delicious dinners prepared by Linda.m

We had our own bedroom and bathroom, which were very comfortable, and they always made sure we had everything we needed, including catering for our dietary requirements.

They were incredibly generous: taking us out for meals every week, showing us round the town, giving us tourist tips, and even letting us use their studio on the Sunshine Coast to explore the area at the weekend.

On the work front, we had complete freedom to organise our own timetables and days, with the option to take on a part-time job in town to earn a bit of money, whilst enjoying our free time as we wished.

Ken taught us a great deal and was always on hand to guide us whenever the work became technical, so we never felt that too much was being asked of us. We therefore helped with general house maintenance, walked their adorable dog Charlie, and, above all, took part in the renovation of their house: sanding doors, door frames, walls and skirting boards; filling holes and painting several rooms; building a retaining wall, including digging the foundations and installing concrete posts and sleepers, and pouring concrete slabs; renovating a wooden staircase and building a wooden wall around it, sanding and treating the wood, operating a mini-excavator (much simpler than you might think and great fun) to clear away rubble and soil, as well as re-landscaping the garden with new soil for a future lawn.

Beyond the work itself, having arrived with only a fairly basic grasp of English, we made huge progress thanks to the time spent with them, as this exchange was never just a simple ‘work in exchange for accommodation and meals’ arrangement: we really got to know one another and shared their way of life during those three months.

Ken and Linda also helped us a great deal with practical matters, such as checking out and buying a car, insuring it, and looking for work for the rest of our trip in Australia.

We’re happy and feel very lucky to have spent these three months with them, in such lovely circumstances.

Thank you again for taking such good care of us , we can’t wait to see you again, either in Australia or on a future trip!
