Hi! I'm Maëlle, I'm 22 years old, and I'm from France. I'm currently in my final year of an English degree at university, and I want to travel as much as I can to explore the world, learn new things, and meet new people.

I took a gap year in September 2025 to start doing Workaway, and it has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. I love meeting people from different backgrounds and nationalities, discovering new environments, hiking, learning new skills, and working with farm animals.

Through my Workaway experiences, I've learned so much about myself and the world around me. I realized that spending time in nature, caring for animals, and connecting with new people truly fulfills me.

I also travel to improve my English and learn other languages, especially Italian. I'm passionate about languages in general and love discovering different cultures through them. I enjoy immersing myself in people's daily lives, helping with everyday tasks, while also appreciating quiet moments alone in nature.

French is my native language, I understand English quit well as I studied it at the university. I also learnt Spanish in highschool and studied Italian for 2 years. I'm interested in languages in general and I'd love to take part in a language exchange.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Since I was 18, I've worked in a greenhouse and in a supermarket during the summer. Through Workaway, I've volunteered on four different farms, where I learned how to care for farm animals by feeding them, cleaning stables, building and repairing fences, and carrying out general maintenance tasks.

I also gained experience in gardening, both outdoors and in greenhouses. These experiences taught me how to follow a daily routine, take responsibility for animals, and adapt to different ways of working.

I'm respectful, motivated, reliable, and always eager to help and learn new things.

Was noch ...

I'm an outdoor person with an open mind and a positive attitude. I love spending time in remote places, completely immersed in nature, whether I'm hiking, exploring new areas, or simply wandering around. In my free time, I also enjoy reading, running, listening to music, traveling, and many other activities.

When I travel, my goal is to discover different ways of life, meet inspiring people, learn new skills, and create meaningful experiences. I believe the best way to explore a country is by connecting with the people who live there and sharing everyday life with them.
