Beschreibung

UPDATE: I am currently looking for a stay between August 5 and 18. I am searching for a place for two people - my friend and me, who share the same age, educational background, and enthusiasm :) Preferably within Europe, not too far from our home country (Czechia).

Hi! I’m a Czech student currently spending some time in Canada as a workawayer. My study-abroad semester at the University of Richmond brought me to North America and inspired me to start my first Workaway experience in Texas. Since then, I’ve been keen to explore different places through the people who live there, immersing myself in everyday life and learning from new experiences along the way.

Travelling and learning about different cultures is a passion of mine. I often explore the world with my family—our recent adventures took us to Tanzania, India, and Indonesia—and I love discovering local perspectives, hidden spots, and ways of life beyond typical tourist experiences. Besides Czech, I speak English (C1) and German (B2), and I’m currently improving my French.

Volunteering has been a big part of my life since I was 15. My experiences include physical work in English-speaking environments, tutoring a middle school student (People in Need), mentoring a boy from a disadvantaged background, supporting disabled adults at a summer camp, and assisting people with severe visual impairments. I also have extensive childcare experience, looking after my cousins and neighbours’ children, ranging from preschool age to early primary school. Additionally, I’ve volunteered with ESN (Erasmus Student Network), participated in Amnesty International’s Live Library project, and joined multiple projects in my home country and abroad, including Erasmus+ initiatives and German-language programs.

I enjoy staying active through jogging, hiking, team sports, and group exercise activities, and I love trying new activities and learning from different experiences. I’m open-minded, adaptable, and easy-going, always eager to broaden my horizons. What excites me most about Workaway is the opportunity for genuine cultural exchange, experiencing daily life from a local perspective, and contributing in meaningful ways while sharing my curiosity and skills.

Yes. I enjoy learning languages and improving them through everyday conversations. I speak English (C1), German (B2), and Czech (native), and I’m currently learning French. I’d be happy to practice languages with my hosts or help with English, basic German, or Czech if anyone is interested. I also enjoy picking up a few words and expressions from the local language wherever I stay.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I’m adaptable and happy to help with a variety of tasks. Through my volunteering and international experiences, I’ve learned to be reliable, proactive, and comfortable working both with different kinds of people and independently.

Through my two Workaway stays so far, I have gained hands-on experience in woodworking, painting, gardening, cooking for up to 6 people, and childcare (children aged 6, 9, and 11).

I have experience working with children and young people, including tutoring a middle school student from a disadvantaged background and mentoring through a social support program. I’ve also volunteered at a camp for adults with disabilities and accompanied people with severe visual impairments, which taught me patience, empathy, and responsibility.

My first volunteering experiences involved hands-on physical work in an English-speaking environment, so I’m comfortable with practical tasks and enjoy staying active. I also like cooking and trying new cuisines.

I speak English (C1), German (B2), and I’m currently learning French (A2/B1). I’m quick to learn, flexible, and motivated to contribute wherever help is needed.

I enjoy cooking, staying active, and exploring local culture and hidden gems. I'm curious, open-minded, and generally positive, and I love meeting new people, sharing stories, and learning from different experiences. I also enjoy creative projects, whether it's making small gifts or editing videos, and I appreciate having some quiet time for reading and reflection.

I’m more of an introvert, a good listener, and attentive, which helps me connect with people in meaningful ways. Outdoor adventures excite me, and I’m always eager to try new activities while contributing wherever I can.
