I'm a very curious person with a huge pallete of different interests, so even before I started my new nomadic life I've tried myself in very different jobs. First let's mention the job I went to school for: forest engineering. If you don't know what it is, I don't blame you. It's basically walking through the forest thinking how it could be better in every possible way and then taking some measures to implement your ideas. That was fun, but not very consistent and long-term solution as the situation with jobs wasn't very bright in my country ten years ago. So, waiting in between some projects I used to work as a waiter, bartender, painter, construction worker, book seller, night watcher, adrenaline park instructor, refugee crisis volunteer, kitchen assistant, bicycle delivery, store seller etc... Dozens of jobs. I've also done some data entry, working on printers and scanners, translating, writing articles, can't even remember... Later I learned basic photo and video editing, writing content for social networks, helping with YouTube...
Well, during my travel I developed some new skills and gained a lot of experience in tourism working not only as a volunteer but as a paid staff in hostels, hotels and lodges, usually as a receptionist (but on different positions, too). I've also worked in tour agency for almost a year as a "hunter" & seller and turned out that I had an incredible talent for catching people and selling tours. :)
I also used to sell food (usually on the beach) when other options were not available, and it worked well, too.
In my working experiences I can count growing plants and mushrooms and planting trees, preparing and processing food (making beer, liquor, yogurt, kefir, kombucha, marmalade, juice, bread, drying herbs and fruits...).
I have worked with very different mechanical and electrical tools, from hammer and shovel to motor chainsaw and electrical grinder. One thing is sure, I’m not afraid of hard work.
I belong to type of people with a strong working ethic. I like the job to be done as it should be. I work by the book, and I'm not big fan of improvisation (although it seems that in South America improvisation is the way to go :D). I’m a team player, but only if all team members are truly committed to the same goal. If that's not the case, I would rather do the job alone, just to be sure that it is done as it should be. I'm a fast-learner, and I’m not scared to ask if I'm not sure about something.
I like to learn new skills, so I will prefer hosts from whom I can learn.
I have A LOT of experience in hostelry and generally working in service industry and I could be very helpful not only working as a receptionist (for example) but also helping others to improve their efficiency with clear and useful tips and advice.
However, as my personal interests are related to plants and animals, keep in mind that if your project involves any of the following activities, please, feel free to contact me if you stumble upon my profile, The activities that I'm very interested in are: making cheese, yogurt, kefir, kombucha, conservation of food, artesanal beer and liquors, honey production, mushroom cultivation, cacao production and making chocolate, sugar cane and its products, medicinal plants, horses, bees, bamboo construction, water management, composting, organic garden and permaculture... I'm sure you've got the idea by now. :)Interessengebiete

Some of known skills and abilities that may be useful are: computer work (MS Office, Internet, booking platforms), international driving license (regular cars and motorcycles), POS terminals, cash registers, climbing equipment, active use of English and Spanish language, data entry, experience with different kinds of mechanical and electrical tools, working with people (bars, hostels, shops)…
But my greatest skill is good organization and planning ability. This highly effective skill has permitted me to travel for more than six years with a very limited budget.
I am also very experienced volunteer (more than 60 projects so far), so if you need help in organizing your group of volunteers or planning the activities - I might be very helpful.Alter

I had spent one month and a half in this wonderful hostel before Kelly has joined me for another three weeks. The time we've spent there was relaxed and fun. We've met some very interesting individuals and exchanged a lot of travel stories with them. The hostel is 5 min walk from the beach, it has a pool, big kitchen, high speed internet,… read more

We arrive at Tuquillo beach with an intention to stay for three weeks, but ended up with three months! Literally! :D It was a crazy and beautiful summer that we'll always remember. So, where to start?

Someone you can rely on?
Looking for someone that can do the job without micro managing?
THIS IS THE MAN FOR YOU!!!
He’s autonomous, hard working, and interesting to talk with.
Grab the chance to have him on your team....you won’t regret it.
Safe travels!
I've stayed at Lukas' ranch only for a week but that was enough to gain some introspective into the life of local platano and cacao producers.
Although the daily tasks were physically demanding (cleaning weed around the platano trees with machete or cutting and moving bamboo trees) which is naturally expected on this kind of projects, we… read more

I’ve spend almost two whole months in Las Tunas and this is my story. Even before I arrived I was asked what where would I prefer to work in the hostel on the coast or at the ranch.
Where should I start? Five stars is not enough to describe my experience at Victoria's farm. Truly magical place that was my home for three unforgettable weeks. Although I initially planned to stay at Pepe's place only for a week, I extended my stay for one week more and it was too bad my visa was about to expire so I couldn't stay more, because the place is absolutely fantastic. This is probably the most educative workaway I've been so far. If you are interested in permaculture, bioconstruction,… read more

I've spent a little bit more than a two weeks with Dafne and her family and I can honestly say that for one year of volunteering and 15 different hosts I've never find such a caring host.
