Was könntest du arbeiten?

Hi! We're Charlie and Lola, a couple from mid-Wales. We'd originally planned to go travelling in August 2020 before everything ground to a halt and finally managed to get going in June 2022. After spending six months Workawaying in Ireland, Scotland, Spain, Portugal and Sicily, we returned home with many amazing memories and now we're looking to make some more :)

Do you need a stone wall building? Or a cabin erecting? Someone to run around with your toddler? Then Charlie is your man! He is one of those guys who can do anything- as well as being creative musically and artistically he's great at hands on work and enjoys working through tricky problems to find the solution. He's very easy going, will take on board any jobs that are thrown his way and would fit into any team as well as having the independence to work on his own.

He spent 5 years training as a builder and carpenter working on a large scale landscaping job, barn conversion and designing and building a cabin. For the past year he has been working as a design engineer for a local company. He also has previous experience working as a kitchen porter and waiter. He's always looking for his next project and really enjoys getting stuck in to a challenge. Charlie has been playing the drums since he was 13 and loves to jam with other musicians. He also plays a bit of guitar, bass and nose flute!

Prior to travelling in 2022, Lola spent ten years working as a midwife and has a lot experience of remaining calm in high pressure situations. She will get stuck into to every and any task around and is very used to juggling multiple tasks at once. During her time as a midwife, she had some training in aromatherapy, biomechanics and trauma therapy which has sparked an interest in alternative therapies. She would love to increase her knowledge of holistic and herbal medicine and healthcare.

She comes from a large family so has years of experience looking after children. Cooking and baking are big passions and she'd love to discover new recipes and cooking methods along our travels. She would especially like to increase her knowledge of gardening, having started to scratch the surface during previous travels. She loves open water swimming and being out and about in nature. Although nowhere as musically experienced as Charlie, she'll happily give anything a go or join in any jam sessions.

During our previous travels some of our work included gardening, tractor driving, chainsawing, cleaning, cooking for hosts and AirBnB guests, milking and walking goats, childcare and a LOT of digging!

In summary, we're a chilled out, hardworking couple who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty and tackle new challenges. We're really looking forward to meeting new people and starting our next adventures, so drop us a message if we sound like a good fit for your place.
