Hello Dear People!

We are Lili and Samuel from Hungary, both 23 years old, and are making our first Workaway travel to the Canary Islands, and are super excited about it. In the 2 month we plan to stay, we hope we can truly experience the stunning nature, culture and people of the place.

Lili: I studied photography in Budapest at the University of applied arts and graduated this year. I’m interested in filmmaking and visual arts in general. Nature often inspires me in my projects, since I love spending time being outside, hiking and climbing. I also love to spend time with animals, and enjoy the farm lifestyle. During my studies I worked as a babysitter so it is also something that I have been doing for a while. I usually bond with kids easily and generally like to spend time with them, therefore I would also be happy to help with kids and babysitting. Furthermore, during our workaway experience I would love to learn about gardening, and livestock farming. I’m very excited about experiencing life on the islands, and learning new things through new people.

Samuel: I graduated as a Horticultural Engineer and worked as a gardener for many years. During my studies I specialised on organic farming and nature conservation, worked in a biodynamic winery and am currently occupied in the retail of organic wines. I love to taste good wines, go rock climbing with my friends or if I have more time in my hands do bike tours all around Europe. I’m a native German speaker, and finished my studies in English, as well as studied a little bit of Spanish. On the Canaries, under many, I would love to take part in community projects, enhance my language skills, enjoy the beauties of the place, practice climbing and try out surfing for the first time. I hope I will have time to do all this. 😊
