Beschreibung

Hallo! We are Leonie and Halinh from Germany.
We both just graduated high school and decided to travel Canada before going to university.
We have been staying in Canada since December and met on our first day here. Since then we have been traveling and staying together.
Some of our favorite things to do revolve around music, reading, traveling, sports and being in nature.
We can not wait to experience Canada locally. We would love to spend some time in nature. Also, we would really enjoy to try local foods and experience the canadian way of life.
We are looking forward to meet you!

We are both fluent in German and English. I (Halinh) can speak Vietnamese and can teach some basic knowledge. We are both interested in getting to know new cultures and languages, such as French, Spanish or other languages.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Since we have been staying in Canada we have both worked in construction. We mainly did cleaning tasks, such as vacuuming and garbage removal.
Leonie: At home I am the one that usually cooks, often with my mom together. My family has a house and a garden, so whatever work was to do, I helped where I could. In the past, I have also volunteered in a hospital and worked in a medical practice, where I mostly did cleaning tasks and helped whenever some was needed.
Halinh: My mom loved her plants. We never had a real garden before but we had a lot of pots where we grew flowers, chili, basil and other spices. She taught me how to take care of them and everything she knew about plants. My parents owned a bar and a restaurant, so as soon as I was old enough I helped out wherever and whenever I could. I did a lot of cleaning and serving tasks but keeping the customers entertained was also one of them.

Was noch ...

We really enjoy playing board games such as UNO and Ludo. If you are interested in learning how to cook Vietnamese or German food we would love to teach you some recipes. We both really enjoy any kind of sports too. We would love to learn new ideas and have exciting adventures. Cultural exchange is what this gap year is all about!
