We're two young women (23 and 24 years old), one is in science, the other the arts! We've been friends since we were twelve years old, we always liked to find nature together, weather it's a forest nearby, or nature still unknown to us. Both really find our peace in it, we want to learn more about farming, vegetables, herbs and whatever other skills we could use if either do end up leaving the city. We want to be equiped to treat the earth with respect.

We will tell you something about ourselves individually!

Hello! My name is Lena, and I recently graduated with a Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences. While I really enjoy science and research, I also love stepping outside my comfort zone and trying new things. I'm always up for an adventure, whether that means hiking in nature, exploring a new place, or learning a completely new skill. One of my favourite things about travelling is getting to know different cultures and ways of life. During my studies I spent an exchange year in Finland and later went on Erasmus in Dublin, both of which taught me how much I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and experiencing everyday life in another country. Those experiences made me even more curious about the world and eager to keep learning from others. Outside of my studies, music has always been a big part of my life. I've been playing the accordion for more than 15 years, and I still love it. I also enjoy running, especially in nature, as it's the perfect way for me to unwind and recharge.

I'm a hardworking and enthusiastic person who enjoys helping wherever I can. I like working together with others, learning practical skills, and I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty. I'm really looking forward to experiencing a different way of life, contributing to your projects, and hopefully sharing some great conversations and laughs along the way!

Hello! My name is Nette, I am currently studying painting (approaching my third bachelor). I am passionate about painting, but also writing, installation, media and whatever other medium seems fitting :). Since the art world can feel quite estranging at times, I do occasionally need to bring my feet back to earth (literally). I like to take walks in the forest, and explore smaller villages. I play a little guitar (very amateuristically), it brings me a lot of joy as well! I would love to learn more about plants and herbs, and what it means to tend to a piece of land, as I am vegetarian myself and a bit bothered having to buy everything in a store that i might not want to support. I would be very excited to learn any skill even at a basic level, I'm sure i'll find a way to incorporate it into whatever art projects lie in my future ;) I'm also not sure about spending my future in the city, I'm in a rather small city right now and even that can feel quite busy. I like visiting new places and meeting the people and feel all the feelings that come with it.

Our French could be better, as we are both from Belgium and it is one of our official languages. Any practice in any language is, of course, welcome, it can come in handy, besides the fact that it's rather fun.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

We went wooffing once before a few years ago in Sweden, here our responsibilities were mostly to tend to the garden (deweeding, harvesting). We painted the house and planted trees!

Both of us have a little gardening experience, are overall very eager to learn!
