Hello! We are two friends from Denmark and the Faroe Islands.

We met at a Danish folk high school (Højskole) in the spring of 2023 on the danish island of Bornholm. There, we lived in a close community for six months while attending classes in chosen subjects. We had “Outdoor” together. As for the other subject, Marianna had glass, and Lea had ceramics. When our semester ended, we both stayed over the summer to work in the school’s kitchen.

About Marianna:
I'm 21 years old and currently on my second gap year. I come from the Faroe Islands, a group of small islands situated in the North Atlantic Ocean. I grew up close to nature, crazy weather, and close by to the ocean. I have a dream about going sailing next year.
I’m an open-minded, creative and energetic person. I am always eager to learn new things, and I am driven by curiosity. I love being creative, which also results in me having many hobbies and projects. I enjoy traveling, climbing, blowing glass, sewing, and baking.

About Lea:
I’m 23 years old, and I come from Copenhagen, Denmark, where I currently live in a tiny apartment with my cat, Gaby. My educational background is French, and I learned English properly when I lived in the United States from the age of 10 to 12. I dropped out of high school back in 2016, and have since worked with many different things, while always being led by what makes me happy.
I am a city girl, and I love biking around town from A to B. Though, I thoroughly enjoy the outdoors as well. My experience tells me that my body and mind benefit from the rural lifestyle, where everything is more slow-paced.
I love learning new skills and challenging myself. Personal growth is what drives me the most in life.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

We both have great organisational skills, and we like optimising, while structuring as well.

Marianna:
I'm good at problem solving and fixing things.
I enjoy working hands-on and have confidence in general maintenance, painting, mending, and DIY projects. I am not opposed to tidying up, cleaning, or doing housework.
I have been working in an after-school program for children for the past two years and as a substitute teacher. I also have experience working with media, and analytical information for a tv-company.

Lea:
In 2019, I was a trainee on the training ship DANMARK (a three-masted fullrigger from 1933). During my stay onboard, I crossed the Atlantic twice, and got my diploma as an Ordinary Seaman. From there, I have a lot of experience working under pressure and living in very close quarters with many people.
I also have a musical background - mostly from the Danish Broadcasting Corporation (Danmarks Radio), where I sang in multiple choirs. I therefore am used to standing on stage and performing on a very high level with others.
I love working with my hands, and I want to learn as many different skills as possible!

Marianna has a driving license.
