Beschreibung

Flora and I have been friends since the beginning of high school and now we will travel to East Africa together. Both of us have spent time abroad teaching English as a second language and travelling. Flora has just come back from a year of teaching English in Thailand and is now making her way around Europe on short-term teaching contracts. Laura has also taught English in Guatemala, Chile and Thailand. Both of us have our CertTesol Trinity Oxford qualification. Laura has done workaways in Nicaragua, Panama and Indonesia and both of us really enjoy travelling in a way where we feel we can give something back and learn about the local culture and communities.

Laura speaks Spanish through studying at University and travelling in Latin America.She is always looking to practice her language skills and keep it up. She would also really would like to improve my Portuguese and French language skills.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Teaching skills -Both of us have our Trinity Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CertTESOL) Level 5 qualification and 120 hours TEFL certificate plus years of experiences teaching English abroad and online

Fundraising - Laura has worked with various charities in their fundraising departments and supported both with approaching trusts and foundations as well as organising fundraising events.

Outdoor skills -We love hiking and being outdoors. Both of us have done hiking trips in Scotland, Lake District, Patagonia, Spain etc. Laura has completed her Mountain Leader training and is working towards completing the assessment. We enjoy getting our hands dirty and being in the outdoors.

Hospitality - Both of us have worked in hospitality jobs in events, restaurants, weddings and cafes. Flora has experience of managing cafés as well as working in the backstage catering teams at some of the biggest festivals in the UK. She also has a food safety level 3 qualification.

Working with people who experience physical and learning disabilities  - Flora has experience of supporting people who have physical and learning disabilities. She worked as a support worker helping them carry out their daily activities and improving their quality of life.

We also love to dance and always try to join a local dance class.
Laura has her Open Water PADI diving qualification.
