Beschreibung

Hi! We are Adrian and Laura, a couple currently travelling in New Zealand and really excited to experience a cultural exchange through Workaway.

I’m Adrian, 32 years old, originally from Spain, and I’m currently in New Zealand on a Working Holiday Visa valid until January 2027. I’m a very hands-on, active and reliable person who enjoys physical work and being outdoors. I’ve worked in New Zealand in warehouses, factories, hospitality and delivery jobs.

What I enjoy the most, is working with animals and outdoor environments. I spent several years working as a zookeeper and animal trainer at Oceanogràfic, where I gained strong experience in animal care, feeding routines, cleaning enclosures, training support and daily animal welfare tasks. I’m very confident around animals and I really enjoy any kind of work related to farms, nature or hands-on maintenance. I also have some experience in basic farm tasks and I’m always keen to learn new skills, especially anything related to agriculture, machinery or rural work.

Outside of work, I enjoy training at the gym, staying active, and spending time in nature. I would describe myself as easy-going, responsible and very adaptable. I like doing things properly and I always try to give my best in whatever I do.

Laura is 29 years old and from Colombia. She is very organised, tidy and responsible, and can contribute with household cleaning, general housekeeping, helping to keep shared spaces clean and comfortable, cooking support gardening tasks such as weeding or watering plants, feeding animals, and assisting with simple day-to-day routines. She is also very open to learning new skills and adapting to whatever is needed, always with a positive attitude and willingness to help where she can within her role.

We are both very tidy, calm and respectful people who enjoy simple living, nature and a healthy lifestyle. We are easy to live with and always try to contribute positively to any environment we are part of. Also both are good cook and can share with you traditional food of our countries and teach some spanish or italian.

We are especially interested in Workaway experiences involving animals, farms, outdoor work, gardening or general maintenance, house keeping, pet keepers or helping you with other stuff.
We are flexible with location and timing and happy to adapt to different types of projects.
