Hi my name is Lara, I am 19 years old and from Germany, more specifically from Berlin.
One year ago I finished school and I figured now is the best timing for me to make memories. Living in Portugal for a couple of month actually made me realize that experiencing the world isn't as hard as I always thought and going out of my comfort zone is good and important. During that time I developed so much and I would like to keep on with that. Spending time in another country makes me feel so much more free and when I come back home I want to look back on the best experiences.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I finished school with 'Abitur' in June of 2022. The school I visited was a gymnasium in Berlin which was very social and open. In eighth grade I began the mediation training at our school, that took one year. And afterwards our job as a mediator was to help the new formed classes develop a good community and make them engage with each other.
In the beginning of 2022, while I was still in school, I began to babysit in various, also international, families. The age of the kids was from only 6 months till 12 years.
Additionally when I finished school I started to work for a recruitment agency. Under that occasion I worked in the food service of famous hotels in Berlin and also in covid-test-centers, where I had to work by myself and very self-reliant.
In the march of this year I came to Portugal where I lived and worked in a famous german club hotel chain. While I worked in the kids club where I had to plan programs for the kids, care for them and entertain them, my job also included arrival and departure duties, cooking duties, participating in a theater show and most importantly always being present for the guests, taking care of every question and in general making them feel welcome.

Was noch ...

When you would ask my friends, the thing I talk about the most is football. I love watching and playing and just talking about it.
Something that is also very important to me are my cats at home in Berlin, Tiger and Balou. Playing and cuddling with them or teaching them tricks is one of my favorite things.
