Hello!
We are Dori and Lala, fresh graduates from Hungary, spending a year abroad learning new skills and travelling before we start to study psychology at university.
We have lots of prior experience with children, event hosting and organizing, and DIY projects.
We'd like to experience a new world from as many aspects as possible. Our goal is to have some time to catch our breath between our high school years and university.
In a few words: we are young, full of life people wanting to learn - Basically we’re willing to do any tasks (e.g.: cooking, cleaning, babysitting, gardening, working with animals).

Was könntest du arbeiten?

We have plenty of experience with children since we had organized several events in elementary schools where the main focus was their entertainment and non-formal education.
We are pretty skilled in event organizing and hosting because we were members of the students' government in our county. We hosted proms, debate clubs and charity events etc. Doing voluntary work at different kinds of caring homes, orphanages and elderly homes, we got to try ourselves at the physical work area since we did renovating projects, cleaning and maintainaning their gardens, and painting their fences.
Preparing for these programmes we did plenty DIYing, creative work and brainstorming with our team.
About our soft skills, we are great teamworkers, we bring strong problem solving and communicating skills. Taking on responsibility is not a problem either.

Since travelling with workaway, we gained many new experiences and learned skills that could be useful in our following journeys.
We got a taste of farm-life where we learned some gardening tricks, and how to take care of different animals (eg. chickens, donkeys, goats).
Sharing a bit of family time, seeing different family structures was really unique, just as lending some helping hands in their homes. If we haven't already, we mastered baby-sitting, cooking and cleaning by now.
We did some renovation work as well, but we might still need some more knowledge and skills in this department.
In Finland, we organized a Christmas event for kids and families, which strengthened our skills in this field. Creating an event abroad in an unknown environment sounded like a challenge, but we were suprised how smoothly it worked out.

We might have an endless list with things that we are interested in, but to mention a few, here are some examples. Photography, reading, listening to music, hiking, cycling, cooking&baking.
Basically anything new through which we can gain knowledge and experiences.
