Ich bin gerade

Beschreibung

I am a French and History teacher, art and nature lover. I am curious about many many subjects and always willing to learn new skills, to discover new places, to listen to stories.
I am not a specialist in any handwork but I always manage to be useful when a familiar needs hand, so I will be happy to do the same with my hosts and I would love to learn to do things by myself (whatever it can be from woodcarving or plumbery to permaculture and cheese making) since sustainability and self-reliance are goals I'd like to achieve when I set up.
I am particularly attracted by arts and crafts, I draw and paint (well I'm learning to), I am surrounded by musicians so I love music, I used to learn modern dance and african dance, I am a very beginner at sewing. I am always happy to try something new.
I am fond of animals and I have worked in a rescue centre as a volunteer. I also had a chance to care for farm animals doing woofing.
I am very willing to travel slow meeting the locals, learning from them, being immersed into the land and culture ; it's far better than just ticking a list of places to see.

I am always happy to learn anything, and I see language as an open window to a culture, the soundy part of it. It would be a pleasure to help the hosts practising a language I know, either through informal conversation or by giving lessons and exercices to make together (I can wear my teacher face ^^).

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I don't think I have particular skills but I always wish to learn and I am very rigorous and hardworking when I have something to do.
I have already looked after pets (cats and dogs) and children (from birth to three years old and my pupils were teenagers), it is something I like to do.
Getting muddy or dirty while working is not a problem for me.
I speak French, English and Portuguese. I'm learning Italian, Spanish, German and ancient Greek (yes I love learning).
I am very serious at work but I have a strong sense of humour (at least I wish I have) so there's always a way to have fun.

Was noch ...

I am fond of literature, especially tales, myths and legends (king Arthur, Iliad, etc.), Tolkien universe ; but also what we call "Classic literature" with particular attraction for theatre.

In my family we are used to playing board games, so it is an activity I can easily dive into.
