I'm pretty easy going and laid back. I usually prefer to explore a new place by walking, running or hiking around. I drink too much coffee and like to spend most of my time in nature.

Beschreibung

I'm Emily from a very small town in the mid-west, there's not much going on here so traveling and exploring new places has always been exciting to me. Most of my time here is spent outside in my garden or running with my dog. In college I studied business and got my degree in accounting but now I'm working on my master's in Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine. That's about it, I'm just a pretty simple open-minded girl who loves a good adventure and meeting different people. I did my first workaway at a bed and breakfast in Ireland and since then I've volunteered in Portugal, Malaysia, Cambodia, Senegal, Uganda, Switzerland and many more countries. I have volunteered also as a yoga teacher in Fiji, Australia, Thailand, and Ecuador.

I'm very interested in learning French :) Some day I would like to volunteer with Mercy Ships and French would be so helpful. I've studied French some in the past, like when I was a volunteer in Senegal and a student in Paris, but I've forgotten most grammar rules.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I've worked several odd jobs that including painting, child care, lifeguard, animal care, gardening, customer service for an internet company, tutor in college, bookkeeping..... I'm really open to learning about whatever you need done, I'm smart and healthy so any challenge is good for me! I used Workaway at a B&B in Ireland, a guesthouse in Madeira, a hostel in Kuala Lumpur and now at a hostel in Penang so learning a lot about the hospitality industry, cooking, cleaning, bar work, and dealing with the guests (check-in/out, reservations, customer service, ect.)

I have spent the majority of my time the last 10 years volunteering around the world. My main hobbies are spending time in gardens and running. I'm currently working on my master's degree in Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine.
