Hey everyone!

My name is Katharina, I am 24 years old and I am from Germany. I have always loved to travel, but it was when I spent a year abroad in the US as an exchange student during high school that I discovered that the best way to get to a know a country, the people, language and culture is to stay there for a longer period time. Not in hotels surrounded by other tourists but staying with locals. I think that workaway is a great concept and will help me meet new people and make some amazing experiences.

I am currently doing an internship and am going to start a master's degree in Environmental Studies and Sustainability Science in Sweden this August.

I would describe myself as a pretty calm, easy-going, open-minded person. I do need my alone time, but I also love spending time with other people and learning about their interests, thoughts, experiences and views.

I love learning new languages and practicing the ones I already know! I am a native speaker of German and am fluent in English. I am more or less fluent in Spanish (with many mistakes) and have a good level of French that needs some refreshing. I am also a beginner in Swedish and would love to learn more.

I would describe myself as an open-minded, kind and calm person. I love making music (I play different instruments and sing), reading, baking, photography and spending time outdoors and with animals :-)
