Hello everyone! :)

We’re Julien (26) and Vickie (27), a French couple traveling across Japan until June 2027 on a Working Holiday Visa. We’re hoping to find a few multi-week Workaway stays to connect with local hosts, share great conversations, and immerse ourselves in different cultures.

About Julien:
I’m no stranger to Workaway : I spent 6 months hosting-hopping across Europe in 2022, helping out on farms and with local families. Since then, I’ve worked for 2 years as a web developer at a startup, followed by stints as a wine merchant and a bartender at an open-air café in Paris. I speak French and English fluently, plus some basic Japanese (JLPT N5 level). I’m happy to lend a hand with cleaning, gardening, cooking, or general maintenance around the house or hostel. I’m hard-working, independent, and love meeting new people!

About Vickie:
With a background in engineering, I spent 3 years working at a consulting firm in Paris. Before that, I lived in Canada for 2 years during my studies, where I got plenty of experience working in an international environment (including a stint in a local bakery!). In my free time, I enjoy creative projects, hands-on tasks, and spending quality time with friends (and I'm super excited to make new ones here in Japan!). I speak fluent French and English, and I’m enthusiastic, adaptable, and happy to help out with guest relations or manual projects.

We can't wait to meet you and contribute to your home or project!

Both of us are native French speakers and fluent in English .
Hardworking, independent, highly adaptable, and experienced in living and working in international environments.
As a team, we offer a great balance of practical hands-on skills, hospitality experience, and problem-solving abilities:

Julien's Skills:

Practical & Maintenance: Gardening, general upkeep, basic DIY/repairs, and house maintenance.
Hospitality & Housekeeping: Cooking, Bartending, wine & beer knowledge, house cleaning, and guest service.
Tech & Digital: Web development and digital troubleshooting.

Vickie's Skills:

Organization & Problem-Solving: Background in engineering and consulting, great at logistics, organizing spaces, and task planning.
Creative & DIY: Hands-on creative projects, painting, crafting.
Customer & Guest Relations: Customer service experience (bakery/retail) and welcoming guests with a warm attitude.
