Beschreibung

Hey everyone!
We are Chris and Vanessa, a backpacking couple from Germany. Since June 2020 we are traveling the world and currently live in Perth until we head to New Zealand in January 2024.

We consider ourselves as open minded people, who like to try new things and get different perspectives of life.
We are honest and reliable and have a can-do-attitude.

We both love to cook and enjoy being outdoors doing bushwalks and explore waterfalls, gorges or caves. We are absolute ocean enthusiasts and love snorkeling, beach strolls and boating.

Chris is a technic lover and studied electrical engineering, but he is in general good with all that handyman stuff. He can fix almost everything, just give him tools and some time.
He enjoys good coffee, beer and wine and is always looking for a drinking buddy (as Vanessa doesn't drink alcohol).

Vanessa is more into arts and reading. Give her a good book or something to paint and you won't see her for hours. The only thing she loves more is to organize something (especially if it's about traveling). And she is a absolute Pizza junkie!

Yeah, anyways we both appear a bit shy in the beginning, but are actually very social and you can have a lot of fun with us.

There is an incredible amount of beauty to discover on our planet and we want to experience as much of it as possible. We try to travel away from mass tourism and experience a country close and individually. And who knows a country better than the locals? That's why we always try to get in touch with them.

Workaway is a great opportunity for us to meet new people and cultures, but also to give something back to the people through our help.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Chris is good with his hands, technical and craft things. As an electrical engineer, he has a talent for electrics. But he's also good at carpentry, screwing and painting. Chris also works remotely as a software developer. His father owns a boat, which is why he has a boat license and is familiar with the repair and maintenance of boats.

Vanessa is industrial engineer. She is good at planning and organizing and has a basical technic and craftsman understanding. Also she is a very creative person and likes to do creative work like (digital) drawing, designing and tinkering. Beside school, she has done many mini jobs, such as waitress in restaurants and bars, babysitting, cooking and gardening. As a child, she had a lot of different pets and is generally animal friendly.

We lived together in a flat and therefore know how to run a household. We both love to cook (and eat) and love to try local food, new recipes and ingredients. While traveling the world we were able to gain a a lot of experience doing Workaways, house and pet sits.

Of course we are happy about tips and tricks and like to learn new things.
