Hii!
I’m Jara, 25 and from Germany. I recently graduated in Computer Science and before starting a full-time career I want to spend some time traveling, meeting people and experiencing new cultures.
I love traveling and have already visited many countries, and I’ve also lived abroad for shorter periods in Norway and England, which were always great experiences where I enjoyed getting to know new people and being part of a different daily life.
I would call myself open-minded, adaptable and curious, and I enjoy connecting with others and learning new things. I love cooking, thrifting, exploring flea markets and museums, but also spending time outdoors, especially hiking and being in nature. Sustainability and kindness are values that are important to me.
I’m super excited about Workaway as a chance to combine cultural exchange with contributing in a meaningful way!!:)

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have a lot of experience in childcare. Already during school I worked a lot with children, for example by doing a kindergarten internship, tutoring and being a mentor for younger students. For the past four years I have regularly supported a family with two children (now 9 and 12), which includes preparing meals, picking them up from school or activities, helping with homework and spending time with them.
I also worked as an au pair in England for one year, caring for two children aged 8 and 9, with very similar responsibilities, especially cooking and organizing daily routines. Besides childcare I am confident with household tasks like cleaning, laundry and keeping things organized, as I have managed my own household for many years. Cooking is something I genuinely enjoy and I would say I am very good at it. With my background in Computer Science I can also help with technology or digital tasks. I am creative, love painting and other art-related activities, and I am open to learning and supporting with basic gardening work such as mowing the lawn or trimming hedges :)

Was noch ...

I love creative activities like drawing and painting and I spend a lot of time reading.
I enjoy being around people and meeting new friends, whether it’s playing board games, going out, or just sharing time together. ( I do enjoy quiet moments on my own from time to time)
Swimming is one of my favorite activities, whether in public pools or in nature, and I love going to concerts whenever I can.
In general, I’m very open to all kinds of activities and always interested in learning about other people’s hobbies and interests!! :)
