Just got to Lima, loving it! We've got most of our first month "planned" and open to any adventures after that. We are super excited to get involved in a community, farm stay or eco project :)

Beschreibung

Hola amigos!

Sophie is a recent Chemical Engineering Graduate and is interested in sustainability and geology, while James is a SCUBA diving instructor that loves connecting with new people and learning about any and all ways of life. We are driven by a relentless curiosity to learn about different histories, cultures and geologies of places. We are always up for new experiences and are very easy going. When we are not out exploring and learning, we enjoy spending time with our friends and family, sleeping on the beach and going for cold swims or unwinding with a good book and a cup of tea!

We both love cooking, not that we're chefs or anything, but love learning new recipes and techniques. We play around in the kitchen a lot.

We have both travelled around South Africa a lot and lived in a few different places. James has also lived overseas a bit working as a diver in Sardinia and Madagascar when not in South Africa. We would love to share our stories and experiences with those wanting to learn :)

We would love to get involved in a very hands on project or live with people who are very active and engaging. Somewhere where we can learn and contribute as much as possible.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Sophie and James are always ready and eager to learn new skills, gain more knowledge, and make new friends. We'd love to learn how to cook your favourite meal, exchange our culture differences or build something together.

Sophie has just finished her Chemical Engineering degree and wants to work as an engineer after our travels. James is a SCUBA diving instructor that has been following his own, unique path in life since he stopped studying. We both have experience working in restaurants as waiters and as a hostess in some of the best restaurants in Cape Town. Sophie has been tutoring high school children in Maths and Physics for a few years. James has travelled a bit in Europe and Madagascar working as a dive instructor as well as worked in a few places in South Africa.

We're both hands on learners and don't mind getting our hands dirty. We don't mind a bit of heavy lifting and long days (especially James, haha). We're here to learn about different ways of living and to connect with others and ourselves, hopefully while being able to give back to the people we meet and the land we visit.

We are always up for an adventure. Whether it is spending a day at the beach, exploring new hiking trails or winding down with a beer and a good conversation. We love a good card game and are quite competitive! We are always eager to learn new board games. We are easy going, adaptable and happy to get involved in whatever needs doing!
