Beschreibung

Hi! We are energetic and adventurous people with a big passion for the outdoors, travel, and meeting new people. We are very active and love staying fit—whether that's through the gym, hiking, or watersports like surfing and kitesurfing. Being near the ocean or out in nature is where we feel most at home.

We have just graduated with a degree in Biological Sciences (James) and Human Physiology (Josie) and have a strong interest in conservation and the environment. We're always keen to get involved in hands-on projects that support sustainability, wildlife, or community-based eco-initiatives. We enjoy meaningful work and learning from others who are passionate about what they do.

Travelling to new places and experiencing different cultures is a big part of why we're on Workaway. We're also really interested in learning new languages and try to pick up as much as we can wherever we go! I'm currently working on my French and Spanish (James).

You’ll find us hardworking, positive, open-minded, and always up for a challenge. Whether it’s helping with physical tasks, outdoor projects, or cultural exchanges, we're excited to contribute and learn wherever we go.
UPDATE:
Currently we are volunteering at a surf hostel in Santa Catalina, Panama and looking for our next experience!

Watersports Equipment Setup & Maintenance – Confident with setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting gear for activities like surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing.
Lifeguarding & First Aid – Qualified lifeguard with years of experience since age 16, including strong first aid and water safety skills.
Languages – Conversational in French and Spanish, with a passion for improving through immersion and practice.
Biology & Analytical Thinking – Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences (2:1); strong understanding of biology, conservation, and research, with technical and problem-solving skills.
People & Communication Skills – Excellent interpersonal and communication skills developed through work as a student ambassador and in team environments.
Fitness & Physical Work – Physically fit and used to active work; happy with hands-on tasks, outdoor projects, or anything that keeps me moving.
