Learning French and working outside during the summer

Beschreibung

I am motivated by meeting new people and sharing experiences with them. I love learning foreign languages. I currently speak Spanish and French, my Czech is quite rusty. It has been long time since I lived in the Czech Republic.

I am an artist, musician, and a teacher. I have had several exhibitions of ceramics and collages over the last 30 years of living abroad. I have also performed and recorded my own music for the last 30 years as well. I am English as a Second Language teacher and I have also occasionally taught the acoustic guitar.

I love traveling around France. My two favorites areas are Marseille and Brittany, where I have spent time over the last 15 years as a tourist and accompanying my girlfriend whose father has a home in Le Croisic. I would love to spend more time in France and improve my French, which is at a B2 level.

I have been learning foreign languages all my adult life since I went to Czechoslovakia as a volunteer English teacher in Feb. 1993. I am very interested in improving my French. I listen to the radio and read books and newspapers without much difficulty. I am interested in becoming more natural and fluent in speaking. I can carry on a conversation without a problem but I would love to polish my oral communication skills. I would not mind teaching adults English but I do not enjoy teaching children or adolescents.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I had a house painting company for several years in the 1990’s, so I have painted both inside and outside. I am not a handyman, but I able to use a saw and a hammer without any problems.

At two different moments in my 20’s I worked for a landscaping company maintaining properties, cutting the grass, planting bushes, and other tasks.

I am a very organized person with excellent planning skills. I have been an English teacher for over 30 years, which means that I am good with people and a skilled communicator with all types of people.

I am a creative person that is capable of taking ideas and making them a reality.

I love reading short novels in French and Spanish. I consider myself to be a very good cook. I am very interested in wine and cheese, which are two of my passions.

Although I do not smoke, my partner and many friends do, which does not bother me.

I love animals, especially dogs.
