Hi, we are traveling through Asia and would love to share some stories, laughs and good time with fellow travelers.

Beschreibung

Hello, we are Anna Maria and Jakub, two 20 years old friends from Poland who are passionate about volunteering and travelling across Europe. We have been on the road for a few months now, and we have visited several countries, such as Germany, Belgium, Netherlands and Italy along our volunteering journey. We are both creative, easy going and open-minded. Not only that, but we are not afraid of taking on responsible tasks, and we always try to find practical solutions to any kind of problems. We enjoy working in a team and learning from others.

We have a lot of experience in various fielda such as: artistic and commercial photography, renovation of architectural elements, sculpturing, stained-glass work, gardening, making natural cosmetics using organic ingredients, sewing - manual and with machine, building using wood, wood work, wax works, painting walls, and all sorts of DIY projects.
Both of us have participated in process of planning and bringing to life exhibition in private art gallery in Italy, besides we did some smaller projects in our school.
We have developed these skills through our education, hobbies and previous volunteering projects. We would love to share our skills and learn new ones from our hosts and fellow volunteers.
Jakub has a major in artistic photography and apart from above, he is proficient in computers and IT related stuff. He can help with social media management, design and more - just ask what do you need help with.
Anna Maria graduated from school with a specialization in renovation of architectural buildings. She is the one with the most diversified range of skill, but Jakub is a fast learner, haha. She is a horse rider and an art history lover who enjoys all sort of crafting and watching good films. Furthermore, she has participated in several restoration projects of historical monuments, and she has a keen eye for details.
We are looking forward to meeting new people and cultures and having meaningful experiences along the way. We are open to any kind of volunteering opportunity that matches, or not, our skills and interests. Most of the people describe us as flexible, reliable and enthusiastic, and we also feel that way.

In addition, when it comes to our professional experience (paid positions) we were mostly involved in restaurant and café industry.
Jakub has been working in gastronomy for 4 years. Over a year working ok the manager position, supervising two restaurants over the lake.
If you're looking for someone with excellent customer service skills, understanding of operations in gastronomy and with management experience, then feel free to contact us.
Anna used to work in a bar located in the city centre of Cracow - one of the biggest Polish cities. Everywhere she goes, she brings charming and positive energy, while fostering customer service on the highest level.

We have worked together for almost 5 years now, in all different fields, that's why we do complement each other.

Experience with Workaway

We have taken parts in various different workaway project. From building a wooden house to pet sitting a lovely 15 years old dog.
In Italy, we took part in two weeks internship in a private art gallery and studio owned by a Dutch painter. We had the opportunity to assist the owner of a 18th century Villa with his art studio and the renovation of the building.
- Organising and designing art exhibitions in the gallery
- Designing and painting two mural painting as a advertisement project for our host’s company
- Clearing out the debris from the damaged parts of the structure
- Cooking and gardening for ourselves and the owner
- Taking care of the farm animals and crops (Anna's specialty)
Then we went to Belgium where we were building a wooden house - started and finished building a roof. After Belgium, we arrived in the Netherlands, where we stayed with a charming household which needed help with deep cleaning and renovating a house. Next, we moved to different city where we have pet-sitted 15 years old doggy.

Since we arrived in Asia we were involved in projects such as:
- teaching kids and adults English in Vietnam
- designing and painting murals in Malaysia
- working on designing and creating mosaics in Indonesia
- working on a cruise ship as bartenders
- digital marketing and design for a company (hotel, restaurant, bar) that promote sustainable travel, supporting local communities and economics

We have met a lot of incredible people along the way and stayed with many, too. That's why we value honesty and transparency when it comes to terms of our stay, rules, tasks and all sort of comments, so we can all enjoy and have pleasant stay. Mutual respect and compassion is a must on every day basis.
