  • Beschreibung

Hello, we are Anna Maria and Jakub, a couple from Poland who fell in love with traveling and sharing stories with lovely people - so far we travelled across Europe and Southeast Asia. We are both creative, easy-going - really, and open-minded. We are not afraid of taking on responsible tasks, and we always try to find practical solutions to any kind of obstacle. We enjoy working in a team and learning from others.

We value peace of mind and the people around us – it's the best way to discover new approaches to life, philosophies, and learn. We care about our surroundings and the environment, and we do our best to live sustainably. Back home, we have a big garden where most of our food comes from – we mainly eat vegetarian. The only exception is when we are traveling and discovering new cuisines, as sometimes it is impossible to try it out without meat, haha. And food is one of the best part of discovering new cultures.

We love learning about different cultures, especially history and food! It is the reason why we have been traveling for almost two years now! It is what makes us feel at peace and excited. We love challenges and learning by doing, and in many other ways. We are not afraid to admit our mistakes, as those "mistakes" are usually the greatest lessons – the same goes for stepping out of our comfort zone, which is something we practice regularly.

    Anna:
I am empathetic, sweet, and bring a charming energy everywhere I go - at least thats what people say. I love art, movies, and horses. I've been actively involved in a local horse stable for over seven years, and for the last three, I've been teaching others how to ride. I am also very passionate about discovering other cultures and connecting with people, which I am really good at. I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty, as I grew up mostly on my grandmother's farm, which taught me the importance of hard work and care. I am yoga enthusiast and I can't live without it. I am internest in spirituality or maybe bettter word would be mindfullness. I enjoy every moments even these that people often call "bad" experiences, as I've learned to find joy in smallest and simplest parts of life. From my education, I am a certified architectural renovator - where I learnd the importanced of patience haha

    Jakub:
I have a strong analytical mind, even though I’m an artistic graduate haha I enjoy learning and sharing experiences with others, but I am also comfortable alone. People often describe me as very talkative, but really, I prefer to listen to the stories that people choose to share with me. I'm currently undertaking a Project Management course, which I find very useful, not only in my professional life but also in my personal activities. I do like to spend my days active rather than sitting in front of computers – as I have spend too much time playing games when I was much younger. It’s also why I’m well-oriented when it comes to technology, which is a small personal interest of mine. From education, I’m an artistic photographer and videomaker, but I also enjoy design and more logical tasks.
In my free time I enjoy reading, creating/inventing solutions and learning. I'm working on openning a tourist/hospitality business next year, so I would love to learn as much as I can from workaway experience. I LOVE winter sports, especialy skiing and recently i started practise snowboarding. Besides that I've been playing basketball when I was younger, but nowadays I prefer hiking, swimming and water related activites, I do my best to start everyday with a streaching session for better flow of the day. I am very self awere and open

Nature is an important aspect of our lives as we find it calming, relaxing, and beneficial for our overall well-being. We enjoy being in a city from time to time, but the place where we want to live and work must be surrounded by nature or at least have easy access to it.

    Experience with Workaway:

We have taken parts in various different workaway project. From building a wooden house to pet sitting a lovely 15 years old dog.
In Italy, we took part in two weeks internship in a private art gallery and studio owned by a Dutch painter. We had the opportunity to assist the owner with his art studio and the renovation of the building.
In Belgium we were building a wooden house - started and finished building a roof. After Belgium, we arrived in the Netherlands, where we stayed with a charming household which needed help with deep cleaning and renovating a house. Next, we moved to different city where we have pet-sitted 15 years old doggy.
Since we arrived in Asia we were involved in projects such as:
    - teaching kids and adults English in Vietnam
    - designing and painting murals in Malaysia
    - working on designing and creating mosaics in Indonesia
    - working on a cruise ship as bartenders
    - digital marketing and design for a company (hotel, restaurant, bar) that promote sustainable travel, supporting local communities and economics

We have met a lot of incredible people along the way and stayed with many, too. We value honesty and transparency when it comes to terms of our stay, rules, tasks and all sort of comments, so we can all enjoy and have pleasant stay. Mutual respect and compassion is a must on every day basis.
