Beschreibung

Hi, we are Jake and Luna. We are 22 and 23 years old and met each other three years ago in Jake's hometown in Wales. Luna is German, but she was studying at the university in Jake's hometown at that time.
At some point, we decided to pack our bags and leave the country. Now, we have been travelling together for over a year. During this time we spent nearly three months volunteering in Albania, where we stayed at a campsite by the sea and a hotel in the mountains, and found our love for this way of travelling, as it gives us a different kind of connection to the countries we travel to and allows us to meet people from all walks of life.
After a short break over summer, we decided to visit Georgia, a country that will always have a special place in our hearts. We fell in love with the people and our workaway at a hostel in the Georgian countryside, where we mostly cooked and cleaned. From Georgia we crossed the border to Turkey where we gathered insights into permaculture and land clearing while doing a workaway on a mountain farm. We ended our year with a workaway on a campsite in Turkey. There, we mostly helped with cleaning.
In 2025 we explored Asia by traveling to Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam. There, we stayed with a couple and developed skills in gardening, painting (walls, etc.), and landscaping. We got to live with five dogs for a month and enjoy Vietnamese food and culture.

We are passionate about gaining new experiences, meeting new people and animals, and seeing more of the world. Both of us share a lot of the same passions and enjoy spending our time together going on long walks, learning to cook new dishes or unwinding in the evening reading together.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

We have experience with multiple workaway positions in the past years, working on campsites, a farm, a hotel, and a hostel. Our responsibilities have included cleaning, cooking, gardening, customer service, caring for animals (dogs, cats, chickens, koi), and landscaping (cement work, laying grass), etc.
Outside of workaway we both have experience in working in hospitality. Luna has worked as front of house, making coffees, serving food, and working a bar. Jake has a couple of years experience working as a chef and is always keen to help in the kitchen. He also has a lot of experience in customer service.
Luna has a degree in Creative Writing & Film and enjoys exploring new creative hobbies. If this is helpful in any way, she would love to make use of it.

Luna: In my spare time I like reading, video editing, and crocheting. I also have a passion for photography, especially nature and landscape photography. I enjoy cooking for my family and Jake and preparing meals for them. I love connecting with animals and could sit with them for hours.

Jake: In my spare time I enjoy reading, cooking, photography and long walks in nature. Lately I have been pursuing more creative hobbies whenever I have the chance, like creating art and videos documenting our travels. I also love caring for and spending time with animals.
