Hello! I am Josh, born and raised in New Mexico, USA. I am traveling the world for a while and am looking for new experiences and awesome workaways :)

I adore traveling and meeting different kinds of people. Experiences and growth are worth so much to me. I love to climb mountains and swim rivers, write, read, dance, explore, laugh.

I can't wait to see what more experiences there are out in the world—so many people, so many worlds of tradition and routines, food, conversation, outlooks, opinions, tastes!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I'm a quick learner, and love to learn new skills.

So far with Workaway, I have worked:
--on a dairy/sheep farm in Iceland for one month, feeding the cows and sheep, assisting in delivering a calve, mending fences, herding and moving sheep and cows, and general cleaning around the house and farm
--in Morocco, assisting the maintenance and rebuilding of a mud hut
--worked in Torquay, UK, on a duck/chicken/goose farm, caring for the animals, cutting/splitting wood, landscaping, woodworking, cooking, and various other tasks.
--at the Tara Buddhist retreat center as a barista, maintenance and handyman, and kitchen aid
--at a guesthouse in Ecuador, taking care of 40 cats and 4 dogs, cleaning, and doing various work

When I was younger, I volunteered in Nicaragua, Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, and Panama on group construction and social programs.

In the Central and South American countries I volunteered in, I helped build churches and schools (brick and mortar work, painting, metal framing), and provided extracurricular activities for local kids (games, music, a touch of ESL).

I can cook, write, clean, paint, landscape, among many other things. I don't mind early mornings, late nights, or long days.

I love hiking, walking, kayaking/rafting, camping, reading, writing, driving, exploring cities, exploring wilderness, goofing off, and can play a touch of guitar.
