Hello! My name is Iris Jade. I am from California but I have been living in New York City for the last three years. I primarily work as a scenic artist and costume designer for theater and film productions. I am currently in school for organizational psychology.
I love people! I worked at a hostel in Budapest in 2019 cleaning beds, organizing events, and taking guests to tours. I had so much fun and made so many friends from all over the world. In 2018 I did my first workaway and stayed with a lovely woman and her family. I am hoping to find an exchange at another hostel this summer.
I love to road trip and sleep in my car with my boyfriend. We are building out a small school bus together. I have driven across the United States twice in the last two years and I intend to do it again this Spring. We love to host friends, and friends of friends who we barely know, at our apartment in Brooklyn. I love being a guest as much as I love being a host.
I think that we can all bring out the innovative parts of each other. I value kindness in others and I work to return the same graciousness and generosity back to the world that has been shared with me.
