Hi, I’m Ira!

I’m from the north of Germany, I’m 19 years old, and I graduated from high school this year. After that, I decided to take a gap year that first brought me to Australia, soon to Zanzibar, and hopefully next year to a family with whom I can share my time and love for working with children.
Competitive swimming has been a big part of my life for many years. For three years, I worked as a swim instructor in my club, teaching children every Saturday and guiding them from their very first splashes to their small but wonderful successes. In addition, I regularly took care of a little girl from the age of 3 to 6 for three years. The bright eyes, the loving gestures, the quickly dried tears, and the pride after every new challenge have always given me so much joy.
During my travels, I hope to continue experiencing these moments: supporting children as they play, dream, learn, and grow, and helping families who are looking for someone patient, energetic, and warm-hearted. I bring experience working with children, a love for movement and creativity, and an open, easy-going personality.
I’m excited to share a bit of everyday life with you and perhaps discover a few new little wonders together.

Was noch ...

I enjoy being outdoors, playing board games, and curling up with a good book. Baking is one of my favourite hobbies. I especially love making cinnamon rolls and sharing them with others.
