Hello! :)

My name is Igor, I am from Portugal and I recently turned 25 years old. I have just finished my master’s in Anthropology, and, before hopefully starting my PhD studies next August, I decided to take this gap year in order to have new experiences, learn different things, and meet exciting new people!

I have done workaway for some months in the fall of 2021 and in the summer of 2022, and because of the strong-lasting impact these experiences had on me, I felt it was essential to do it again at this point in my life. In these previous places, I have mainly stayed at homesteads and worked in permaculture projects, handling tasks related to woodwork, renovation, pruning, weeding, gardening, and also cooking and domestic chores. While these kind of tasks captivate me and are definitely things I’m eager to repeat, I would also love to learn and do new things!

To give a closer insight into who I am, I love literature, film, music, and art. I’m a social person, and I love biking and hiking, even though my day-to-day doesn’t always allow me.
I am vegetarian, but I don’t mind being around meat/fish products, and I can cater for myself whenever necessary!

I am responsible, focused, open-minded, always eager to expand my experience beyond my comfort zone.

I have carried out DIY, renovation, and farming tasks, and these are activities I am always cheerful to assist with. I try to be a fast learner in order to provide a valuable help, especially in tasks where I do not have much experience. I can also cook and assist in cleaning and domestic duties as well.

I consider myself patient, respectful, resilient, enthusiastic, communicative, cooperative, and hardworking.
I can also help with the Portuguese or English language whenever there’s an interest or desire in it. :)
