Hey!
It brings me great joy to be outside, outside in the world. I love travelling, surfing, the sea/ mountains, running, visiting new areas and learning about the rich history of places. I'm intrested in different cultures and love to learn languages. In my free time when i'm at home i like to read, draw and talk with my family and friends.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Dutch is my native language, besides Dutch I am fluent in English. I love the french language, I understand it quite well, but I wanna gain more experience in speaking it. In 2024 , I went to Costa Rica for 3 months. Here I attended an intensive Spanish learning programme. While I was there, I stayed in a host family and had a roommate. I was able to have normal everyday conversations and understood most of it. But since I have no oppurtunity to practise now, It requires some effort to hold conversations. I also speak basic German. And finally, I'm learning Japanese, but I'm still a beginner.

In October 2025 I volunteered as an aupair with workaway. I stayed with an amazing family in Marseille. My daily tasks included: cooking dinner, playing with the kids, helping to clean the house and occasionally bringing the kids to school.

During my holidays, I run camps for children. These are camps for ages 2-12. So I have already gained a lot of experience with these different ages. The organisation I run the camps for focuses on creativity, sports and outdoor play. I really enjoy working with children. Apart from that, I have also babysat a lot.

In my senior year of high school, I taught English to three 8-year-old boys in a playful way. I did this once a week but they made rapid progress and had lots of fun. I also volunteered at a primary school in childcare. There, I helped two foreign-speaking children from the first grade with their homework. They struggled with this because they did not yet fully master Dutch. I liked helping them.

I have also worked in the kitchen of an elderly home and for the greenery maintanance of my city.

I'm sporty and active. I have played badminton in a club for more than 6 years and I have a red belt with two black stripes in Taekwondo. I like these sports very much. Twice a week I go running with a friend of mine and we ran half a marathon together, which was lots of fun. I also love the sea and everything around it, surfing, volleyball, sunbathing, reading and swimming:)

So I love sports and being active, but besides that, I also love to just relax and chill. I love reading, drawing, playing the piano ( but I'm not very good, because I don't really practice:), watching a film or series...I'm very passionate about history and culture, that's one of the reasons why I love travelling, apart from exploring nature and meeting new people of course :)
