Beschreibung
🌿 Hello! My name is Haru.
I currently work as a special needs education teacher in Japan (7th year).
In July 31 to October 25th 2026, I will stay in Denmark for three months to learn from local schools, teachers, and communities. I’m looking for a host family or community where I can contribute through everyday tasks while gaining opportunities to learn and understand Danish education and life.
🌟 About me
I have a bright smile, positive energy, and love meeting new people.
Friends often tell me I’m curious, kind, and a good listener.
I enjoy communicating, connecting with people, and learning from different backgrounds.
I’m very active and take initiative. I love trying new things!
🧡 Experience & skills
7 years as a teacher at a special needs school in Japan
Qualified in Paedagog (paedagog Japan), focusing on building relationships through dialogue and play.
Experience caring for animals. I have a dog in Japan and love taking care of pets.
I enjoy cooking so can help cook for the family.
I’m happy to help with cleaning, organizing, playing with children.
🎒 Purpose of my stay
In my 7 years as a teacher, I’ve had many challenges in Japanese schools for children, families, and teachers. I want to explore what makes a school a happy place for everyone.
Denmark has long inspired me with its paedagog, emphasis on dialogue and balanced approach to education.
During my stay, I hope to visit local schools and after school care facilities, talk with paedagog, teachers, parents and children. Learn through daily life in a Danish community to understand similarities and differences between Denmark and Japan.
Then I want to bring back ideas that can help create better environments for Japanese children and educators.
🌼 What I hope to offer
Cultural exchange (teaching Japanese language or cooking Japanese meals).
💬 Final message
I’m very excited to experience daily life in Denmark and learn from people I meet.
Thank you for reading. I really look forward to meeting you! 🌿 -

They welcomed me warmly even though my language barely got me through a sentence. This is a generous, funny, easy-going family, and I grew very fond of them.
