Beschreibung

I was born in San Francisco, CA, where I lived during my early childhood before moving to Austin, TX for my Dad's work. After living there for a few years, my family moved to Seattle, WA. Spending most of my youth there instilled a great appreciation for the natural world and its beauty. I'm currently studying at Barnard College/Columbia University in New York City. I love exploring new places, working with children, spending time in nature and with animals. I am also very passionate about films and music, which are my current areas of study at university.

I'm planning on taking this coming Fall semester to spend time away from academics, and to get more perspective outside the classroom. Especially because the pandemic began at the end of my senior year in high school, some of my friends took a gap year before starting college. Their experiences inspired me to consider traveling abroad and taking a little time off from school.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have lots of experience with babysitting/childcare and taking care of pets. I am a native English speaker and have intermediate French skills. I also have teaching and tutoring experience both academically and musically (I play the piano). I have a little gardening experience. Throughout high school, I participated in volunteering activities like spending time with people and playing music at a local Senior Living center in Seattle. I've been babysitting for around ten years with local families in Seattle and here in Manhattan.

Living in four different states throughout my life has taught me the importance of meeting people different from oneself and spending time in unfamiliar places to gain a broader worldview.
