Beschreibung

We're Dev and Ria — a couple from South Africa and Tunisia. After two years cycling from North to South Africa, Ria met Dev and fell in love with him and his country, and decided to spend as much time as she could exploring this beautiful part of the continent together. That's how we ended up buying our caravan, Lilya, giving us a free-spirited lifestyle — enough stability and minimalism to keep chasing adventure.
We're currently based between the many corners of the Western Cape, staying in caravan parks and on farms and one day we'd love to have our own piece of land, where we can build a sustainable life in harmony with nature and be part of a like-minded community rooted in sharing and unity. Until then, we're keen to volunteer on farms or projects that benefit local communities or the environment — learning more about planting, animal care, sustainable living, eco-building, art, and music along the way.

We also work from time to time to cover our financial needs, so Ria will often be the main available volunteer, with Dev sometimes away on filming projects or busy editing in the caravan — though he still has plenty of time to lend a hand whenever needed.

At heart, we're curious, hands-on, and drawn to connecting with the land and the communities we pass through. We're excited to bring our skills to your project, and just as excited to learn new ones — especially anything to do with sustainable and eco farming.

Dev is a cinematographer with strong skills in digital content creation and video editing — happy to help document your project, create promotional content, or teach others the basics.

He's also an amazing cook — the best braai master (certified by Ria), He loves making food and sharing it with love, and he can genuinely blow your mind with any meal he makes. He's happy to help out in the kitchen, whether it's preparing a great breakfast, whipping up smoothies, or cooking for the group.

He also enjoys crafting and hands-on projects, with basic knowledge in carpentry and plumbing. On top of that, he plays guitar (he used to front a band). He's deeply drawn to nature and eager to learn more about sustainability and eco farming.


Ria has been traveling the world since 2019, starting with backpacking through Southeast Asia, where she had her first volunteering experiences. Along the way, she's worked in hotels, guesthouses, farms, and schools, building up a wide range of skills as she went. More recently, while cycling across Africa, she became a content creator, documenting her journey.

She can create promotional content for your project — photos, videos, drone shoots, graphic design, and blog writing — to help showcase your work to a wider audience.
She can also help with hospitality tasks like lodge and guesthouse reception, and she's enthusiastic about farming, eco-building, and crafting. She loves creating art and painting, taking care of animals, and teaching kids.
