Hello!
I'm Giorgio from Italy, I'm 31, keen traveller, passionate about nature and animals. As I come from Italy, i enjoy eating good food but also cooking some italian traditional delicacies, such as different types of italian pasta (my favorite being carbonara), parmigiana and tiramisù. I can cook also Chinese food, for examples Chinese dumplings. In my spare time i like trekking, crawl up in bed with a good book, doing sport and calistenich, and most of all travelling. I love listening to music, I sometise go to Opera house enjoying the famous arias of Puccini, Verdi, Rossini and Bellini.

I recentry graduated from a master degree in Venice on the topic of Environmental Humanities. This is a highly interdisciplinar course which connects humanities with science in order to tackle the environmental issues that we are facing. Therefore, one of the reason why I highly value workaway is that I hope it will allow me to improve my knowledge of different environments and different ways in which people share their space and resources with other humans and non-humans.
Besides my passionate for nature and ecology, I love China and Chinese culture. I speak Chinese fluently as I teach languages to Chinese students. At the moment I work in a school in Beijing (so I am a digital nomad) teaching English and Italian. I lived in China for 2 years, and expect Covid crisis and lockdown and government abuse of power, it was an amazing experience that shaped my life in a way hard to describe here in the text. I hope we can chat about when we will meet! At the moment my work takes only 4/5 hours every week, my worktime is fixed at 13:30 to 15:45 (Rome timezone).
I also workawayed in Germany, the main reason was to improve my German but I didn't have luck with my host that preferred speaking English.
It is important to me that the host understands my work situations.

I love travelling in the very sense of the word. I think travelling today is an activity carried out in the same husty and rushed way as we spend our life. I try to avoid that kind of way of travelling beacause i wish to avoid that kind of way of life, although it's often difficult to go against the tide of modernity. However, when I can I walk instead of using the car, I breath instead of thinking and doing, and I try to appreciate every moment.

I hope this short introduct provides enough initial information on me and my life. But I'll be happy to arrange a facetime to get to know us better.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I can speak fluently Italian, English, Chinese and Spanish.
I can use computer program as Office.
I've a driving license.
I can cook well, mainly italian food and europeanized chinese food as noodle, spring rools sweet and sour sauce etc.
And I'm an adaptable and versitile, so i can work in different context and flexible worker for every kind of tasks is required me to do.
During the course of my academic career, I also manage to accrue nearly 5 years of work experience. I had the privilege to work for Alba Agency in a Translator role in my free time at Milan Furniture Fair, where I learned valuable professional skills such as adaptive translating methods. In both my academic and professional life, I have been consistently praised as detail-oriented by my professor and peers.

Was noch ...

I don't have particular routines in my day so I would be able to live in a wide range of place. I'm a very easygoing person, and I aim to spend time in a cozy environment with warm and good people and either take something from them and leave something to them.
