Heyy!
My name is Gesine I’m 25 years old and I am currently living in Germany. Right now I`m studying Education. To earn some extra money I am working in a Hostel once or twice a week.
 
I grew up on a little farm. Back then I helped my grandparents a lot, caring for the animals aswell as doing some gardening and farming work. So I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty or be outside the whole day. I’m really interested in sustainability and alternative ways of farming and living.
 
Moving my body is one of my favourite things to do. Especially when I can do it outside. No matter if it is yoga, dancing, hiking or running. I also love being creative in any kind of way. Especially painting brings me inner peace. I also love spending time with animals.

I enjoy trying out new things, learning new stuff and meeting new people. Thats why I love traveling so much. I love connecting with others, learning from each other and sharing moments and stories. I’m a really open minded person. Exploring a new country and getting in touch with other cultures fills my heart up with joy.

In the past I was able to do many really interesting workaways and I loved all of them.
My last workaways were really individual. Same included farming, gardening and building projects. In other places I did a lot of Babysitting, housesitting and housekeeping as well as caring for the animals.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I love working with kids. Thats why I am studying Education. My studies include plenty of practical components. Ive already worked for 6 months in 2 different kindergarden. I also volunteered in an association which helped young families with their newborn babies. So I learned to deal with kids especially from the age of 6 months to 6 years. At the moment Im working once a week in an Orphan Home. I would also like to work with older ones.

Currently I am working in a Hostel. Its a really small Hostel which makes it possible that I am cover all workfields. My tasks include working at the reception, welcoming the guests, cleaning and preparing breakfast. I`ve also got a lot of office work in my shifts. I love working in a Hostel. I really like to get in touch with the guests and care for their needs to make sure they have a pleasant stay.

I enjoy farming and gardening and I gained some experience during my workaways on Moloka`i and Maui. I consider myself good at cooking and I also like to learn more about all these things.
I have also worked in other sections like a restaurant where I gained skills as a waitress. I worked in a Retirement Home and in a promotion team.

Through my solo travelling experience where I also stayed in Hostels I became more organised and I discovered that I dont have a problem with sharing a room or being surrounded by people for long periods of time.

Im spontanious and flexible which makes me not picky when it comes to work. I can imagine myself working with kids, working in a hostel, gardening, farming, cooking, animal care, teaching german or even cleaning. I would like to help with whats needed.
