Beschreibung

Hi, I'm a teacher from Germany and currently living and working in Istanbul.
I'm passionate about nature, the sea, being active, and the simple joys of life - whether that's hiking through the countryside, spending a quiet morning by the water, or enjoying delicious food and drinks with my friends or people around. I’ve also been active in team sports like rugby and Australian football, and I enjoy playing tennis and badminton as well. Sports have always been a big part of my life. At the moment, I'm joining a CrossFit gym — I’m always eager to learn new skills and challenge myself physically.
I love exploring new places and meeting people from different countries, sharing good conversation.
I'm happy to get involved and contribute where I can - whether it's helping out in the garden, lending a hand with language learning (English or German), or exchanging ideas.
Especially with living in this busy and vibrant city, workaway is a great opportunity for me to immerse myself in a slower, more mindful way of living - ideally somewhere in nature and close to the sea.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

As a teacher with a degree in English and Physical education, I enjoy helping others learn and grow while creating a positive, supportive environment.
I feel most alive when I'm active and surrounded by greenery; I love hiking, swimming, running and capturing beautiful scenery - especially sunsets - with my camera.
I also love spending time with friends, dancing and sharing meaningful moments together.
After school, I did a work & travel experience in New Zealand, where I helped out with gardening, worked as an apple and avocado packer, and did a variety of hands-on tasks while living and traveling in a car with a friend for eight months. That experience taught me the joy of a simple life.
In summer 2023, I volunteered with an NGO on the Greek island of Samos, which gave me the opportunity to contribute to a social project and experience the comfort of Mediterranean living, paired with meaningful work and the power of cultural exchange within a diverse team from all over the world.
I speak English fluently and am a native German speaker. I bring a flexible, open-minded, and positive attitude to whatever I do.
