Hello, we are Emely and Frida. We love animals, gardening, spending time outdoors, music, cooking, crocheting, alternative lifestyles and meeting new people :)

Beschreibung

Hello everyone,

We are Frida and Emely, we are a couple from the south of Germany and are now on our journey through Ireland !

We are traveling Ireland by living in our car, together with our dog Yuki. We would like to spend about a year travelling the country, getting to know new people and cultures, gaining lots of new experiences, improving our language skills, enjoying the beautiful countryside and just letting life come to us.
We want to travel to see more of the world and leave our comfort zone. We hope to get to know many different people and lifestyles. And last but not least, we want to learn more about ourselves and our questions about life.

As already mentioned, Yuki, a 1 1/2 year old dog, will accompany us on our journey. Yuki is medium sized, friendly and well behaved, likes to be with us at all times and is very adaptable. She is also already familiar with farm life, knows rules like not chasing cats or chickens, waiting while work is being done etc.

We would prefer to be on farms and in agriculture, as Emely has already gained some experience in this area and it is a great interest of both of us.
We are also interested in renovation work and DIY projects around the house and garden.

Of course, we are also open to anything else we come across and are always happy to gain new experiences.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Emely: After I finished school three years ago, I lived and worked for a year in a farm community on a Demeter farm. Here I was mainly involved in vegetable farming, but also worked with the dairy cows and chickens.
In the summer of 2023, I had a seasonal job in a small catering business.
From March to the end of June 2024, I worked again on an organic farm. Here I lived in a trailer with my dog. I looked after the cattle on the farm independently and, as this farm was still under construction, I helped with all the work that needed to be done. Turning an old stable into a workshop, putting up fences, doing a lot of tidying up and cleaning...
I also have a lot of experience with horses and dogs. I have already taken care of the puppy litter of our family dog and prepared them for their life.
(Yuki is one of the puppies) So I have some experience in dog training.
I learnt to ride and to take care of horses since I was 6 years old. The last five years of my life I had my own horse which taught me a lot. And I already had a part-time job in a horse stable.
So I am also very familiar with stable work and taking care of horses.

On our journey I hope to be able to apply what I have already learnt, to deepen my knowledge and to face new challenges.


Frida:
Now that I've finished school, I'm glad to be learning some things more on the practical side. I grew up in a rural area helping my parents in our garden by planting vegetables. Through school internships, I have already gained some experience in animal care, agriculture and childcare in kindergarten. I have been going to a tent camp every year since I was 8 years old and when I was older I was able to look after the younger children myself. I already worked in catering for two seasons.
I love spending time in nature and making and listening to music. I am motivated to learn new skills and I'm really looking forward to the new adventures and challenges that life after school will bring.
