A little bit about ourselves - We are avid hikers. Last year we hiked the state of California on the Pacific crest trail (missing some sections due to fires) and we absolutely love meeting new people. We met on maui , doing work trade, and have decided that we enjoy the excitement of new places and new faces. We are planning to be in Denali, Alaska working for the national park coming up the first week of May 2022. What motivates us is to apply to new places and continue this life is that all of our experiences thus far have been very positive and uplifting to our spirits. We want to continue to grow our network of like minded people. Another motivation is we need a place to stay right now, we are hard workers, and our work trade is ending here in Maui. Overall what we think brings us happiness is to continue to the goal of hiking as much as possible. And right now we are in transition to being where we really want to be. And our true happiness right now rely's on us having a safe place until May first. And we are both avid workers, and being safe is a true happiness.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Shep - I have traveled and worked since I graduated high school and went to college. I have a bachelor's degree in communications. And after college, instead of pursing a career in my studies, I realized all I wanted to do was travel.
I have over 10 years experience doing all types of trades - landscaping, carpentry, painting, roofing, plumbing. I also have much restaurant experience cooking and serving tables. I have worked for Shenandoah national park in Virginia at a resort called Big Meadows for two seasons. During those two seasons I was a Line Cook, Server, Maintenance, grounds crew (landscaping) , housekeeping, and Laundry.
I also have good positive work energy. I really enjoy being around other like minded people and meeting new people each day.
Addy - I have lots of experience in child care. I worked as a camp counselor for 4 years for an adventure field trip summer camp in Chicago. As well as many years babysitting and nannying for kids from infancy to young teenagers. I also have experience working as a housekeeper and cleaner. I currently work for an independent cleaning business and clean vacation homes in Maui. I also have experience working at a hotel in Hana, Maui and was in charge of seven rooms and bathrooms. Also during my time in Maui I did work trade a flower farm and learned how to make tropical bouquets to sell for the farm.

Was noch ...

We both are passionate about hiking and the outdoors. We enjoy backpacking in beautiful places. Last summer we hiked about 1000 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail and love the long term trail life. We also enjoy traveling and meeting new people and working in new environments. We like hanging out at the beach and trying new things. We have interests in learning about the off grid living and pursuing it ourselves. We like making art and cooking healthy foods in our free time.
