Hello !
We are two canadian friends on a gap year looking to explore central America and make meaningful connections. Our friends would describe us as adventurous and outdoorsy people that love to get out of our confort zone. We are looking for new challenges to broaden our minds and dedicate our time to different places where help is needed.

We would love to learn a new language or teach our own! Languages are not just tools for sharing basic information, they are essential for building meaningful connections with others! We are convinced that the best way to learn a language is to be fully immersed in it, as well as in the culture. We also want to mention that one of us is trilingual and has Spanish as her mothertongue. The other is currently learning spanish to acquire a basic level of Spanish.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

In our college years, we studied environnemental sciences together. Therefore, we have great interest in wildlife conservation and marine biology.

One of us (Thalia) took a trip to Belize last January to learn about tropical ecosystems to make a study about marine habitats of Belize in one of her college courses. For the rest of her academic path, she plans to persue studies in the heathcare field as she has a great passion for human connections and applied biology. She also worked as a ski monitor and a badminton coach, therefore she has impeccable communication skills. She loves learning how everything works around her and isn't affraid to get her hands dirty.

The other one (Florence) went on a solo trip across Canada to work in Alberta last summer. She was working at the Lake Agnes teahouse, a cafe working without any running water or electricity. She had to hike up to work with her backpack twice a week and lived on the mountaintop for two months, far from civilisation, with other teahouse girls. This experience got her out of her comfort zone and got her to push her own abilities. She is a very adaptable person, with a warm personality and good interpersonal skills, looking foward to studied psychology next year. She loves oudoors and sports. Get her on a hiking adventure anytime. She also played volleyball and loves to be active.
