Hi! I'm looking to make new experiences and share what i have learned till now. I enjoy being in nature and working outside and am passionate about plants (all aspects of plants! plant physiology, medicinal properties, soil development, ecological development of landscape and the list goes on).
My long term project is to create a "social" plant nursery: a multifaceted place which is engaged in research (drought resistance, symbiosis with microorganisms ecc.) and production of high quality plant material but at the same time providing a space for social gatherings (educational and recreational!)... we will see what comes out of it, at the moment I'm still brooding! I have a master degree in agroecology and ecological restoration is something which really moves me.
Aside from plants.... i grew up in a retreat center in the mountains in the center of Italy, which provided me to get in touch and be "contaminated" with plenty of people and ideas. I'd say I'm a forest girl, and after a few months in a city i get a little uneasy and something is missing, even though i appreciate the opportunities which are found there. Growing up there profoundly shaped me and gave me several skills and aptitudes: I love cooking (vegetarian), i speak several languages, I learn quickly with my hands. I have the basics of many different crafts (woodwork, pottery, knitting, sowing...) and might be able to share some of that.
I appreciate order in communal spaces and do my best! I also know how important it is for my self to have some "alone time" from time to time.
We have had many volunteers at home, which gives me an idea of what it means to a be a host and (I hope!) also a volunteer.
I'd say i'm rather independent, sometimes hardheaded, very often determined and usually like to see things through with what i'm doing. I love a laugh when the occasion presents itself and i love for chances to dance a little and party a bit!
I did a 2 years seminar on somatic massage techniques and might be able to share some of that too! I'm very interested in the relationship between body, mind and trauma. I have experimented with dance and theater in all occasions i could get!
I just spent 6 months in Corse (Fr) in a very beautiful and isolated environment and am keen to find new perspectives!
Right now I am looking for sociable opportunities, to learn new things and share what i have learned and workaway seems like a good place were to start!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have experience in manual outdoor jobs (grape harvesting, apple harvesting, pruning, gardening and so forth) and as a cook (vegetarian, i worked a few seasons as a pizzaiolo). University provided me also with some computer skills (researching, writing a paper, photoshop, QGis, Word, Excel...) and with giving lectures, lessons and presenting topics. I enjoy to find ways to convey concepts which are interesting and accessible. I have done some photography. I am a quick and keen learner.
I have done some babysitting (children older than 3) and cleaning as a job.

Was noch ...

I'm into climbing and did my first ever lesson of surf recently and i loved it!
I'd also love to have the chance to de-block my guitar playing.
I'd like to learn to take care of horses.
Surfing and climbing is also on the top list of things i would like to do more!
Lately I'm very much into wild fermentation and am experimenting quite a bit, maybe we ca experiment together!
