Hello,

We are Felicia and Olle - a social, easy going couple from Sweden. We have both quit our professional jobs to go after our dream; try on a different way of travelling and road tripping around Europe. Of course our dog Leia will join us on the way, hence we will be looking for a dog friendly family and places. Leia is adopted from Greece, however, she was not a stray dog but lived with a family that cared for her but did not have the space for more dogs. She is a friendly dog who likes everyone, including cats and gets along well with children. She is trained well, however, some puppy mischievousness where she will steal a sock or shoe might occasionally happen.

As a couple we always try to find new experiences and travel off the grid. Although we are living in Stockholm, we tend to escape to the countryside as often as possible to enjoy the calmness, being out in nature, hiking with Leia, cook a delicious meal while we share a glass of wine. When we have been travelling we have always gone to less touristy places as we prefer to discover the ‘real’ country, local dishes and meet locals. When we discovered workaway we immediately thought that this way of travelling sounds perfect for us. As a creative and handy couple we are always down for a new project and would like to learn renovating, gardening and small sized farming. We are fast learners and would not mind getting our hands dirty.

Our Workaway experiences:

We are currently on our second Workaway in Bourgogne, France. Here we are helping out with construction and renovation work at an old barn, using environmentally friendly methods. Prior to this, we stayed at biodynamic vegetable farm for two weeks, also in France. There we supported the farmer with harvesting, composting, weeding etc. These has been great experiences and we have learned a lot of new skills which we hope to bring into our next project.

A little more about us:

I, Felicia, have been working with marketing and ecommerce for a large fashion company for the past 2,5 years. I used to live in London before that, where I was first working as an Au Pair (references are available) and later on undertook my bachelor degree within marketing in London as well. If you have a business and would need some help with your marketing I´d be more than happy to support you and share my knowledge. However, my biggest passion is dog training and dog psychology. I strongly believe in positive reinforcements and will only train and exercise a dog in that way. My heart aches for stray dogs (and cats!), and would like to give my contribution to a shelter. I am, however, a true animal lover and would be happy to help out with any task regarding animal care. Other than that; I enjoy learning new languages, reading, baking,gardening, good wine, yoga and mindfulness. I would like to learn more about gardening as this is a new interest of mine!

I, Olle, have an engineering background and have been working as a software engineer, focusing on building ecommerce solutions. I enjoy designing, building and creating things, whether it is building lego with my nieces, putting together IKEA furniture or designing software architecture. If you have a business and need help with anything related to IT or if you’re in the middle of a house renovation I’d be more than happy to help out.

I’m passionate about boats and always get a sensation of freedom and tranquillity when I’m out on the sea. Me and a friend of mine used to own a classical wooden boat together, which we maintained and took out for trips in the Stockholm archipelago. If I get the opportunity, I would like to contribute and learn more about boat maintenance and restoration but also woodworking and how to work with wooden materials. I’m of course open to any kind of task you need assistance with and would be happy to contribute in any way possible.

Other than that; I am a foodie who is enthusiastic about cooking. I enjoy adventures like skiing in the alps or going on a hike in the mountains and meeting new friends.

We are a social, warm couple who would enjoy sharing dinner together but are also looking forward to discovering your part of the country on our own. We are independent problem solvers, but will of course ask for guidance when it's needed.

We are happy to help out with almost everything; taking care of dogs, cooking, gardening, construction work, language exchange etc. We are also happy to support you with technical set ups as well. Olle is a software developer and can support you with coding a website. Felicia is a marketer and has a vast experience in e-commerce.
