Beschreibung

Hi there! We are Federica and Federico, a 27 and 25-year-old guys from Italy. We live in Palermo, our native city, located in Sicily, in the south of Italy, and we describe ourselves as curious explorers in love with nature!

Our story began in 2019 when we met at university, thanks to some friends in common. From the moment we met, we felt there was a deep connection between us, so we started spending time together, sharing our hobbies and talking about our travel dreams, until we realized that time was flying and we were growing more close-knit every day!

So, we started traveling together to some of the beautiful cities in our country, such as Naples, Turin, Milan, Florence, Pisa, and Aosta. We also visited Montgenèvre, Budapest, and the surrounding countryside of both cities. When we aren't abroad, we spend weekends venturing into the mountains in our local countryside for trekking and camping with our friends.

We had our First workaway in Cihamerang, a rural village situated in West Java, where we could experience the life we were dreamed for so much time. We harvested, cleaned guests houses, composted, spent time with beautiful people, walked through the jungle to reach wonderful and spiritual places🏞️

And then we joined this community because we'd like to broaden our horizons and further enrich our experiences through adventures that allow us to deeply discover new cultures and where we can also feel we're making a contribution with volunteering!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

We are two resourceful individuals with top problem-solving skills, and if one of us doesn't know how to do something, the other usually does. We both possess excellent manual skills and a creative spirit.

We also have experience in the field of education, as we both completed a year of universal civil service with children: Federico in an elementary school where he supported teachers, and Federica in a summer camp and after-school play centre where she was a children's entertainer and after-school teacher.

In terms of personal hobbies:
(Federica) I love practicing holistic disciplines like Pilates and yoga. I also relax by doing puzzles, playing with Legos, reading romances or thrillers, doing Das clay crafting, caring for my plants, and above all, caring for our kitten, Diane!
(Federico) I love narrative, literature, movies, trekking, nature, learning about different cultures, playing and listening to music and live in the most genuine and simple way, all things that, i think, can reconnect us to what life is really about🏞️


In terms of studies:
(Federica) I have a degree in Political Science and International Relations, with a thesis in Private Law on Olympic children's rights. At the moment, I'm studying law.
(Federico) And I'm pursuing a degree in Legal Science with a thesis in Criminal Sociology on racism and the phenomenon of the KKK, and its similarities with today's society.

Was noch ...

A few other things about us: We enjoy playing board games like Perudo, Risk, Scrabble, or Citadels. Federico knows how to play the piano (a bit) and the guitar. We're both creative and hands-on; we can paint and build things. We also cook traditional Italian dishes very well, but we're also happy to try recipes from other parts of the world.

  Federica is mildly asthmatic and allergic to dust. In very dusty and humid places, she starts to sneeze and her respiratory passages get irritated.
